Heidi Klum turned heads at her annual Halloween party with her latest iconic outfit – but don’t stare at her for too long, as you could turn to stone.
The supermodel, 52, transformed into Medusa on Friday (31 October) ahead of the star-studded bash in New York.
As we all know by now, she doesn’t do things by halves – so of course, her headpiece was kitted out with several mechanical snakes which wiggled on top of her head.
Klum, who has been dubbed the ‘Queen of Halloween‘ thanks to her never-ending run of impressive costumes, revealed that her elaborate get-up was crafted by a team of about 15 people.
Her husband, German musician Tom Kaulitz, appeared alongside her on the red carpet and to match her Medusa look, he aptly dressed as a warrior who she had turned to stone.

According to Greek mythology, the monstrous figure who had living snakes instead of hair had the ability to petrify those who looked at her, and they were instantly turned to stone.
It took a grand total of ten hours for the couple to get ready, while Klum revealed that her complex costume – which was handmade and hand-painted – took a staggering five months to create.
The Project Runway host gave fans an idea about all of the painstaking work that went into this year’s rig-out by sharing snippets of her getting ready process on Instagram.
She first set tongues wagging by sharing a snap of some terrifying-looking fangs in her mouth, which was followed up by a video of the vast set up in her dressing room.
Her stash of Halloween supplies would make any makeup artist swoon – although it also goes to show just how much work it requires to make a ‘Heidiween’-worthy costume.
Klum then uploaded various clips showing the steps of her dramatic transformation into Medusa, which started with her face being painted green before prosthetics were then meticulously applied.

She even documented the moment a member of her glam squad somehow fought through the artificial snake-like skin which covered her face and squeezed a contact lens into her eye.
Despite Klum dropping these clues before she made her big reveal, social media users completely missed the mark when guessing what she might be for Halloween 2025.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about the painstaking work that went into her costume, the Project Runway host revealed that she has been planning to embody the iconic monster for a few years now.
She explained: “I’ve seen so many people do Medusa in the past and I thought, I’m going to try and really nail Medusa one year’. And this year was the year!”
Klum said that she and Kaulitz ‘couldn’t wait to’ get out of their E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial costumes last year as they were so claustrophobic, but the couple fared a lot better this time around.
“Today I’m actually okay, this is totally doable,” she continued. “To build [the costume], it took about five months, because it’s all hand-painted, all handcrafted and all of the different prosthetics.
“I’ve been in hair and makeup for about ten hours,” she added, while Kaulitz also admitted it had taken ‘a long time’ for him to transform into a stone warrior.

“Shrek and ET were way harder, so this is an easy year for me,” Kaulitz added. “It looks amazing, but I can actually party in this!”
Klum then admitted that the ‘most challenging part’ about being Medusa was that her costume meant she couldn’t sit down or go to the bathroom.
On top of that, the fangs she was sporting were ‘really spiky’, seeing her jokingly warn, “If I am drooling blood, it’s not fake blood.”
In an Instagram post shared post-Halloween party, Klum praised the incredible team who had got her ready, while explaining further why she opted to go as Medusa this Halloween.
“For #HeidiHalloween 2025, I set my gaze on bringing a classic monster into the modern world, and Medusa was irresistible…iconic, mysterious, ferocious,” she wrote.
“Her legend and the art she’s inspired prove how haunting and timeless her power is. @tomkaulitz another year, another costume. A Gorgon is only as powerful as the ssssspectacular team behind her.
“From the bottom of my stone cold heart, thank you for transforming me from mortal to myth. It truly takes a village.”
You can say that again, Heidi.
