Jeremy Clarkson Stunned by Shocking Medical Results After Near-Fatal Health Scare
Isn’t it wild how one moment you’re worrying about Google updates and the next, it’s your cardiologist updating you instead? After spending decades riding the algorithm rollercoaster, I thought nothing could make my heart race—until Jeremy Clarkson’s annual medical drama entered stage left . Imagine laying on a hospital bed, pondering if too much wine and the occasional steak have painted your insides in fifty shades of “uh-oh.” Clarkson, the self-proclaimed king of reckless charm, just pulled back the curtain on his full-body MOT—and let’s just say, even he didn’t expect the surprise plot twists inside his own liver (no, it’s not another farm animal). From high-tech liver scans that ping like a submarine to the all-too-analog (and frankly awkward) prostate check, Jeremy turns his health checkup into a saga so relatable you’ll want to book your own appointment—if only for the punchlines. But hey, would you rather endure that digital poke or risk missing something life-saving? Sometimes, even the toughest act on TV has to let the doctors get a bit…personal. If Clarkson can laugh at it, so can we. LEARN MORE
Jeremy Clarkson shared the results of his yearly medical result, following an emergency heart procedure last year.
The 65-year-old TV veteran has spoken openly about his health for the past couple of months, sharing details of the emergency heart surgery he underwent in October 2024, as well as his experience using Ozempic and Mounjaro for weight loss.
Sharing a new health update in his column for The Sunday Times, Clarkson explained that he recently underwent a full body physical examination to check his health, following a series of heart complications which left him with ‘just days to live’.
Detailing what happened during the appointment, which lasted for ‘eight solid hours’, the Clarkson’s Farm presenter revealed he underwent blood tests, MRI scans and tests on every major organ in the body – including his liver and prostate.

Explaining the ‘amazing’ way which doctors monitor your liver function, Clarkson explained that he underwent a process which resembled ‘the same kind of sonar you find on a submarine’.
“[They] fire a ping [known as a FibroScan] onto the surface of what is our second biggest organ and then they measure how vibrantly the ping comes back,” he wrote, explaining that if a person’s liver is ‘full of fat and gin’ the ping will come back quicker then someone whose organ is ‘pink and fresh and juicy’.
And if you’re wondering how Clarkson’s liver is looking after previously revealing he was fond of indulgent foods and drinking ‘far too much wine’, it’s good news – something which took The Grand Tour alum by surprise.
“The man could tell me instantly that mine was fine. That was one hell of a surprise,” he wrote.
Clarkson also joked about the less technologically advanced method which doctors use to test your prostate.

A small walnut-sized organ located in the near the bladder and rectum, which only people assigned male at birth have, the prostate is tested by inserting a finger into the bottom – with the old-fashioned manner of testing something with Clarkson found awkward humour in.
“They can photograph your ventricles and every bit of your brain, but if they want to know what’s going on with your prostate, which lives in the anus, for some reason, the doctor has to put his finger in there. I can only assume it’s because he likes it,” he penned.
Despite the unpleasant experience, the presenter added that he prefers the exam to a diagnosis of prostate cancer.
“I’ve had too many friends go down with prostate cancer,” he added.
