D4vd’s Mystery Deepens: Leaked Song Shares Name With Girl Discovered in His Car—Lyrics Raise Alarming Questions
What do you get when you mix virality, a chart-topping singer, and a mystery that smells—quite literally—like trouble? No, it’s not a dark new Netflix series; it’s real life with a twist that even Ryan Murphy might sidestep as “a bit much.” The internet’s been fussing over the lyrics of d4vd’s 2022 track ever since the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas turned up—of all places—in a Tesla that belonged to him and had apparently been marinating in a Los Angeles impound lot. There’s something quietly chilling about how stardom, tragedy, and public obsession have all fused here. Is it just me, or has true crime spilled right into trending culture, lyric by lyric? If you’re still with me, it gets weirder: tattoo clues, canceled tour dates, rumors of fixation, and fans analyzing every leaked song line like they’re chasing the Zodiac Killer. Intrigued? Mortified? Maybe even a little amused at how the internet will now psychoanalyze a pop song with the scrutiny of Sherlock Holmes on caffeine? Yeah, same. For the twists, turns, and very fresh receipts, LEARN MORE.
People have been dissecting the lyrics of a 2022 track released by US singer d4vd after a body was found in a car belonging to him.
The decomposing remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas were found in a Tesla that was parked in an impound lot in Los Angeles following reports of a ‘foul smell’.
Officers went to take a look at the vehicle last week amid concerns about the stench and sadly found the body of the teenager who was reported missing in April last year.
An appeal shared at the time stated that Celeste was just 13-years-old and was last seen by Lake Elsinore in California before she vanished.
It was then revealed that the vehicle where she was found on Monday (8 September) was registered to the New York-born singer d4vd, famed for hits such as ‘Here With Me’ and ‘Sleep Well’.
The musician – real name David Anthony Burke – was in the middle of performing a string of shows as part of his Withered tour when the news broke.

His scheduled performance in Seattle last night (17 September) was cancelled, while he has now returned to Los Angeles, according to reports.
A representative for d4vd previously said he was aware of the situation and had been ‘fully cooperating with the authorities’.
Officials then announced that a murder investigation into Celeste’s death had been launched, while it was also revealed she had a tattoo saying ‘Shhh…’ on her right index finger.
D4vd was pictured sporting a similar tattoo in September last year, according to TMZ.
Another eerie alleged connection between the 20-year-old singer and Celeste has now also been unearthed.
Social media users have been taking a look at d4vd’s discography in recent days and have analysed the lyrics of tracks such as his 2022 hit, which went viral on TikTok, ‘Romantic Homicide’.
Several of his songs have also reportedly been ‘leaked’ and uploaded to SoundCloud – and according to The Sun, one is titled ‘Celeste’.

D4vd is said to sing: “Oh, Celeste / The girl with my name tattooed on her chest / Smell her on my clothes like cigarettes / I hear her voice each time I take a breath / I’m obsessed.”
He goes on to say: “Afraid you’ll only love me when undressed / But you look so damn gorgeous in that dress / Missing you so much makes me depressed / But I digress, because…”
Police said they do not currently have a suspect in Celeste’s case, according to NBC News.
She was last seen wearing grey pants, a black sweater, a hat and Hello Kitty sandals. The teen was described as being 5ft 3ins, 120 pounds and having brown eyes and dark brown hair.
Her cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it remain unclear, however, officials suspect she may have been deceased for a long period of time.
D4vd has not been charged with any crime.
