SAS: Who Dares Wins Contestants Endure Shocking Injuries—A Testicle Nearly Lost and Vulva Torn in Brutal Challenge

Have you ever wondered just how much a celebrity is willing to risk for a spot of prime-time glory? I mean, most of us would say we’re “all in”—but do we ever consider if that includes actual physical assets? Well, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins has once again proved there’s no such thing as too much information or too much pain on reality TV. Singer-songwriter and former X Factor star Lucy Spraggan didn’t just bare her soul—she shared the sort of detail that makes you wince in sympathy. After “ripping” her vulva (yes, you read that right) during one particularly brutal harness challenge, Lucy hopped onto Instagram and—without missing a beat—announced that she wasn’t alone. Turns out, fellow contestants (and not just any contestants, but a footballer and a boxer!) nearly lost a lot more than their dignity on the same task. If you thought competitive reality TV peaked when someone ate bugs, well…how about bleeding through a stunt and nearly losing your, ahem, crown jewels? There’s living to tell the tale… and then there’s surviving SAS with stories you can only share after the watershed. LEARN MORE

Two contestants on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins ‘nearly’ lost a part of their manhood during a challenge.

The claim comes from Lucy Spraggan, a fellow contestant who recently made headlines for ‘ripping’ her vulva on the show.

Ahead of today’s (10 August) episode, the singer-songwriter admitted that her time on the Channel 4 programme was marked by a serious injury caused by a harness.

She has since taken to Instagram to address the incident, admitting that ‘there was blood’ and that ‘it was pretty bad’.

The former X Factor star said ‘you live and learn’, leaving fans hanging when it came to revealing whether she’d passed the task or not.

Spraggan even admitted that the medic on set thought she had sustained a leg injury before finding out the truth.

However, in the caption of her explainer to fans, the Brit revealed something about two other contestants from season seven.

It seems she wasn’t the only one to suffer some discomfort, as Spraggan wrote: “Both @t_deeney and @conorbennofficial nearly lost a ball each on this task, I just had the harness in the wrong place,” with a laughing emoji.

The contestants she was referring to were professional footballer Troy Deeney and boxer Conor Benn.

Hannah Spearritt from S Club 7, dancer Louie Spence and Love Island alumni Tasha Ghouri and Chloe Burrows all voluntarily quit after their own struggles in the first couple of episodes of the new series.

But it looks like Spraggan really committed to the cause, admitting in an interview with The Sun this week: “I ripped my labia – it was bad.

“That’s not a common injury. Actually, genuinely, that’s never been the same, so much so I’m having some surgery soon to correct it.”

Explaining that the ‘harness was tight’, she didn’t think anything serious would happen.

“I looked and there was a tear, there was lots of blood and the doctor came over and I turned around because at that point you literally don’t care about anything,” Spraggan recalled.

That’s not all though, with the 34-year-old admitting she nearly knocked a tooth out and fainted.

Spraggan also claimed that she face-planted when jumping from a helicopter to a boat, leaving her with a black eye that was still there on her wedding day.

In addition, she said she displaced filler in her cheeks, which needed to be dissolved when she got back from filming.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight (10 August).
