If the fast approaching date of Halloween doesn’t put you in the mood for a smorgasbord of spookiness, then I don’t know what will.

Tis the season to be enjoying horror and scary things, and with that in mind, Netflix have got a new horror movie on the way this Friday (25 October)

Just 10 seconds of footage from the movie has been enough to pique the interest of many, which sounds promising.

This is Don’t Move, a horror film directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, and is produced by the legendary Sam Raimi.

At first glance, it looks to be little more than 10 seconds of a lady (Kelsey Asbille) lying in the grass while someone mows it and approaches ominously, but sometimes that’s enough.

Now you’ve seen that little snippet you might want to know who she is, why she’s lying in the grass and why she seemingly can’t move.

You’ll have to watch the movie to find that out, though you could always give the full trailer a look if those first 10 seconds were tantalising enough.

In case you’re worried about spoilers then never fear, as viewers have praised it as ‘a trailer that makes me want to see a movie but doesn’t show me the whole damn thing’.

I know, it’s a rare thing these days.

Watch here:

The premise seems simple enough – a serial killer has injected this poor woman with a drug that’ll steadily paralyse her body.

So far, so horrifying, and the trailer doesn’t really expand on things beyond that which is a welcome change to some of the promos that give away pretty much all the best moments the movie has to offer.

If watching someone fight off paralysis and attempt to escape from a serial killer sounds like a fun Friday night activity, then Don’t Move would seem to be your jam.

Those who’ve seen the trailer have said it’s left them ‘hyped’ and reckoning it’s going to be an ‘intense’ experience.

The film is called 'Don't Move' but it seems like part of the problem is that she can't (Netflix)

They commented that they’re ‘looking forward to it’ and the work done by Sam Raimi on the movie has lots very excited.

Apparently, his inclusion means Don’t Move is ‘gonna be legendary already’ and is a very ‘groovy’ thing indeed.

Some pointed out that for someone who is steadily fighting off paralysis ‘she sure does get around to a lot of places in the trailer’, but we’ll let the movie tell the story it wants to tell.

Don’t Move releases on Netflix this Friday, 25 October.
