An influencer who documented not masturbating for 30 days has revealed what it was like partaking in the NoFap movement.

We’re right in the middle of No Nut November, a viral challenge where men take part in complete sexual abstinence for the entire month. This is followed by Destroy D**k December, which I’m not going to explain for you (connect the dots, people).

There are pros and cons to the month long challenge, according to the experts, with one doctor warning against it. It isn’t all bad news though, with there being some benefits to abstaining.

The NNN challenge, though, is not to be mistaken for the NoFap movement. With NoFap, it is all about not different levels of abstinence.

Some don’t orgasm at all, while others just abstain from masturbating while remaining open to having sex.

YouTuber and influencer Jesse James West decided to take up the NoFap lifestyle to see what impact it would have on his health, mindset, and general lifestyle.

The fitness vlogger took part in the NoFap movement back in April 2021, documenting it over on his YouTube channel where he has more than 5.5 million followers.

“If you don’t know what NoFap is it’s where you cannot indulge in the self-pleasure of, let’s just say, it rhymes with ‘exacerbation’,” Jesse said.

“So apparently with NoFap you are going to gain motivation, discipline, your dopamine receptors are going to be better because you’re not going to be giving into short-term release of dopamine.”

After one week, his friends said he was ‘going great’ with ‘better energy, saying he was strong in the gym’.

“Now we’re about a week in and like things are kind of taking a turn for the worse,” they added. “He’s been angry dude, definitely higher testosterone.”

After 12 days, Jesse said: “I’m not going to lie, things are going fantastic.

“My overall super high energy and feeling super animalistic, it’s kind of levelled out and I just have this level energy that I feel is feeling really good.”

After two weeks, Jesse said he had lost all urge to ‘even do so’, saying: “Once you get past week one it is definitely a lot easier. I still feel great, my energy is slightly higher almost as if that’s where it should be.

“I’m a very active, busy and hardworking person so I’m constantly going. Mentally, the discipline is worth it.”

Checking in on day 19, Jesse said he has been ‘feeling really good’, adding he had ‘noticed one thing in this whole NoFap thing’.

“My energy is higher, my testosterone I believe is higher,” he said. “Could be a placebo but I don’t mind. I feel like my anger is a little higher.

“It could be because I’m dieting and I’m doing two things at once but I feel my anger is a little raised. I’m on edge just ever so slightly.”

A day later, Jesse sat down where he said that cutting out masturbation has allowed him to have ‘better success over time’ over multiple things he is doing in life such as eating healthy and going to the gym.

“I feel really good, my mind is sharper, my ideas have been better,” he says.

Getting to the end of the challenge he said ‘it has drastically changed the entire month for me’ by letting him focus on improving different parts of his life by keeping a strict discipline.
