I don’t know about you but when I was a kid, the type of thing being banned at school was playing Bulldog on the playground. Then at high school, it was trainers for shoes or wearing makeup.

But now it seems the big thing teachers are having to ban is the phrase ‘skibidi toilet’. Yep, as the bizarre trend (which we’ve broken down for those of you currently thinking ‘what the f**k?’) takes over, it’s causing a bit of a headache for schools.

The phenomenon is absolutely huge for Gen Alpha and is all thanks to a pretty weird YouTube series.

Animator Alexey Gerasimov created the creepy videos which has led to a swathe of TikTok sounds of viral fame.

Yeah, creepy (DaFuq!?Boom!)

And with it having so much popularity with kids, singing the songs and shouting out ‘skibidi toilet’ has taken over.

So this led to a viral TikTok showing a teacher appearing to give her class a presentation on: “When can you yell ‘skibidi toilet’.”

And her pupils are told they only can do so ‘between the hours of 12am and 9:15am and 4pm to 11:59.”

So yes, any time when they are not in school basically.

“That is on purpose,” she adds.

But while she thanks her class for listening to the rules, she does seem to still be confused as she asks: “Also what is skibidi toilet?”

This led to a teacher even commenting to say: “I told them if I hear that word one more time I’m quitting.”

However, another said: “I notice the more I say it the less the students say it. Cringe factor for the win!”

Over on Reddit, a user asked teachers: “What are teachers’ thoughts about skibidi toilet and its impact on students, and things similar to it?”

One teacher replied: “It’s annoying and disrupts class but it’s not new. Every generation has its thing.”

Another slammed: “I’m so tired of hearing it. I have a sign that says skibidi is banned in my classroom. It’s just annoying to me.”

And someone else said: “Meh, there’s always dumb things students are doing. It’s all white noise at this point.”

And while some might be banning the phrase ‘skibidi toilet’, other teachers seem to be agreeing in a different way to combat it.

“If it annoys you try my strategy for making it not cool: I began singing that stupid song skibbidy bop bop bee bee skibiddy bop bop beep beep boop. Problem solved. My kids HATED hearing me sing it and stopped!” one wrote.
