Don’t get me wrong – everyone loves a Wetherspoons, but to actually get the name tattooed on your body? That’s some next-level stuff.

But the idea hasn’t fazed super fan Tasha Bentley at all, who got ‘Wetherspoons‘ tatted across her stomach.

The Brit admitted that it stunned her family and friends, as well as those down at her local Spoons in Walkden, Greater Manchester, called The Bull’s Head Hotel.

The 23-year-old made the decision to fork out the £500 for the permanent ink back in May 2024.

It took months to complete, with work eventually being finished in November last year.

Five inches tall, death metal font was used for the tattoo, with the finished product measuring 1.6 feet wide.

Calling her new ink ‘iconic’, the content creator was happy for it to be part of her 55 tattoos, revealing that her love for metal bands and Wetherspoon were combined in the making of her latest artwork.

As her favourite bit of ink, Bentley hopes that she can get a free whisky as a result of the tatt, revealing: “I reckon I’m one of Wetherspoon’s biggest fans now I’ve got the name on me.

“It [getting the piece finished] was on and off for so long last year, it was overwhelming.”

Admitting that she knew how bizarre it seemed, she shared: “It’s a Wetherspoon tattoo, you don’t expect that kind of feeling. I was just so happy.

“Seeing it on Facebook I knew straight away ‘that is me’. Now seeing it on my body – it’s an iconic piece. It’s my favourite piece out of all the tattoos I have.”

It turns out that her friend tagged her in a Facebook post that shared the unique design, egging her on to get it done herself.

“I wanted it as an underboob piece but because of how big it is and how my body sits it looked a mess and wouldn’t have worked,” Bentley said.

Looking back at the sessions, she admitted that she ‘hated every minute of it’, revealing it took ‘three or four sittings’ and needing a lot of numbing cream to get through the last bit.

The content creator opened up on why she loves the chain so much, citing food, friendly people and feeling ‘safe’ at their pubs as the main reasons.

“I just love it. It’s affordable, there are lots of options, people at my local are friendly and I feel safe there, especially on my own,” she said.

Talking about her love for metal music, the 23-year-old explained that she got into bands such as Green Day and Nirvana when she was 12, moving over to the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Mötley Crüe and Anthrax as she got older.

Bentley stated: “That kind of music has an iconic font so I’ve combined the two in the tattoo.”

Admitting that her family think she’s ‘weird’, Bentley says that the tattoo is growing on them, though she isn’t too bothered.

“My friends were like ‘that’s a Tasha thing to do’, they weren’t surprised that I’d done it,” she admitted.

The Spoons lover concluded: “The guys at the pub weren’t expecting it. They were just like ‘Why?’. I said ‘Because I want to and I love Wetherspoon.

“I’m now a walking advert for them, even one free whiskey would be great.”
