A man who survived being cut in half by a forklift has revealed how his medical bills get paid.
Loren Schauers was just 18-years-old when he was involved in a life-changing accident at work.
The Montana labourer was using a forklift which mistakenly veered off a bridge on 27 September, 2019. It dropped 50ft to the ground and Loren was pinned underneath the vehicle.
Everything below his hips had been smashed to pieces, resulting in a total amputation of everything below his waist, as well as half of his right arm.

Following a successful amputation, Loren and his wife Sabia Reiche started a YouTube channel called Sabia and Loren to provide various health and life updates.
In a recent upload, Sabia was reading out community questions that had been sent in by fans, as one person said: “I know you don’t discuss money, but we always hear how horribly expensive medical is in the US, and would imagine Lawrence’s care runs in the millions, easily.
“Just want to hear that you guys are doing okay with that or if you need help? I know you guys never ask for money but there are many of us that like to help in that way.”
Loren then explained: “Luckily all my medical bills and whatnot are taking care of through workman’s comp, and so it’s no bother on our pocket.”
