The comedian who went home with someone in the audience has said her family tried to stage an intervention with her.

Kell Fire went viral back in the summer after successfully ‘begging’ for an audience member to go ‘home with her’. Pretty iconically, she closed her set in the US with the baffling question: “Does anyone just like want to go home with me tonight? I’m serious.”

And despite people not knowing if it was a joke or not, one bloke took up the offer and she walked out with him. This mystery man later shared an update that he was ‘alive and thriving’ as Kell assured ‘he was a professional’ and all part of the bit.

But it seems like perhaps her family haven’t quite been on board with it as she decides to combine comedy with erotica.

The stand-up, who also creates content for OnlyFans, says she ‘wanted to be the next Kristen Wiig’ as she tried to be a stand-up in LA. But she considered leaving after burnout left her ‘getting f**ked up and being broke’.

However, Kell says she realised something that was setting her apart from other comics.

“I kept getting told how hot I was,” the 34-year-old told the Daily Star. “It would get said at pretty much every show.”

So, she decided to capitalise on that, building an online presence while she got her ‘a** out’ and felt empowered.

“And there you have it. I might not be the best raunchy creator, but I’ll sure as damn will be the funniest!”

Going viral for this niche, including her going home with the audience member, has seen a boost in her career.

However, she explained: “My uncle tried to stage an intervention to basically stop me from doing adult entertainment.”

Slamming this suggestion, she continued: “Either I’m serving men and making a lot less money, or I can use my best asset – literally – and get to fund my own cool art.

“My body is objectified whether I want it to be or not. And it’s up to me why I want to be part of that or not. And if you take control you can make so much money.”

Now, she wants to say ‘f**k you’ to her uncle as she guesses she’s ‘made it now’.

Kell also confirmed to fans that the whole ‘go home with me’ was a stunt as she wrote: “VID SOLD! Ended my set asking the audience if someone would come home with me.”

But confused by the entire thing altogether, other users had commented on her clip: “Why doesn’t this happen when I got to comedy shows?”
