A woman has stumped Reddit users after sharing a picture of an impossible worksheet, causing some to claim the image ‘looks nothing like’ the desired answer.
On Wednesday (March 26) a presumed mum took to Reddit, posting a picture of a work task her child had been given.
The kid, who is a kindergartener, was asked by their educators to look at outlined images and write down their subsequent three-letter names.
The first was easy enough, depicting a picture of a bear beginning with the letter ‘C’.

Presumably with their parent’s help, the child deduced this image to be a ‘cub’, while second in line was an illustration of the sun, which is pretty self-explanatory.
However, it was the third that apparently stumped the young child and several adults, with the image being that of a smiling person woman wearing a headdress and a long gown with her hands clasped in front of her.
A ‘W’ was placed next to the peculiar illustration, causing Redditors to scratch their heads in dismay.
“Pretty sure this was supposed to be NUN and the book f***ed up,” replied one user.
Meanwhile, someone else theorised: “Wen is an archaic or poetic term for a woman, derived from Middle English. While rarely used in modern English, it appears in old literature and dialects.”
“Wyf. It’s ye oldde Englishe,” joked a third.
Some Reddit posts like these have a tendency to lie dormant, with the original poster never revealing the answer to their conundrum.

The three letter word was apparently ‘Wed’ (Reddit/Thea_From_Juilliard)
However, the person, who goes by the name @thea_from_julliard, was quick to put social media users out of their misery by revealing what the child should have written beside the woman.
“Wed? Is that a bride?,” said someone, to which @thea_from_julliard responded: “You got it!”
Redditors have since a field day upon learning that the word the book was actually looking for was ‘wed’.
“Why would a kindergartener know the word ‘wed’ yet?,” one user responded.
“Most adults use the term married or wedding? And that looks like a nun, not a bride…Is this a religious school?”
“She needs to have a bouquet or something,” responded someone else. “As is, she looks nothing like bride. That does not look like a wedding dress or bridal veil. Clearly a nun.”
Another claimed: “F minus for the book’s illustrator. This looks nothing like a wed.”
Did you know that the word was supposed to be ‘wed’? Or do you also think the illustrator messed up and the woman was supposed to be a nun?
