Each picture is a story, a slice of life from when auto mechanics were still rocking those cool hats to Dutch kids enjoying the great outdoors in open-air schools during the 1950s. And let’s not forget the sheer audacity of Thomas Fitzpatrick landing a stolen plane on a narrow Manhattan street TWICE! Just to win a bet! Because, apparently, the desire to impress your friends has been a timeless classic, eh?
Now, how about a chuckle with a little twist of history? In 1937, gas stations in Toronto boycotted filling up Ladas as a form of protest against the Soviet Union’s actions. Seems like the gas station attendant was the town’s new hero for that day.
