“Shocking Toilet Etiquette Alert: Celebrity Big Brother’s Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa Schooled on Hygiene”
Ever wonder how far reality TV stars would go for a bit of fun? Well, hold onto your cat toys because Celebrity Big Brother stars Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa certainly left their mark—and then some—in Friday’s episode on the 18th of April! You know, when I saw the promo for this episode, even with all my years covering bizarre antics on TV, my jaw was practically hitting the floor. They were tasked to not just act like cats but to fully embrace the life of a house cat with a twist. Let’s just say, it wasn’t just about hissing and meowing.
As the self-proclaimed king (or queen?) of quirky cultural tidbits, I can’t help but muse over how these shows push boundaries in the name of entertainment. Is it hilarious? Sure. Do some folks think it’s too much? Absolutely. It’s a wild card of a show, where even the house cats have got nine lives hanging by a thread, and every housemate had to slurp their dinner out of bowls. But when you throw in “celebrity” and “reality” TV, all bets are off.
I mean, TV is all about keeping us on our toes, and if you’ve got to laugh at the absurdity of life dressed as a cat… why not? This episode is living proof that reality TV isn’t just about showcasing talent or drama, it’s about seeing how far from normalcy they can take it—and we, the viewers, just can’t look away.
LEARN MORE about these two feline-freaks and their unforgettable escapades.
Celebrity Big Brother stars Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa have set the cat among the pigeons with their antics in Friday’s (18 April) episode.
The housemates, who have grown particularly close over the last few weeks, left fans stunned by just how far they took the feline-themed task.
The celebrities on the ITV reality show were forced to dress and behave as kitty cats for the day, with Big Brother explaining they had to ‘become pet house cats’.
The remaining Celebrity Big Brother cast mates were told: “Collectively, you begin the day with nine lives. Fail a task and you’ll lose one of your precious lives.
“To pass and win the reward, you must finish with at least one life remaining. All food and drink must be consumed from the cat bowls provided. So prowl with pride, stretch your paws and if in doubt, lick yourself.”
Litter trays also appeared in the communal bathroom during the task, although housemates were not instructed to use them.

The housemates transformed into felines during Friday’s episode of CBB (ITV)
However, Hughes and Siwa both decided to use this in Friday’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother.
In bizarre scenes, the two stars each urinated in the life-size litter box while dressed up in huge cat costumes.
Hughes, 32, told the 21-year-old Dance Moms star: “I really need a wee. Is this bad? Can you block the door? Then I’ll have a little wee.
“Don’t tell anyone I’ve wee’d though, ” he laughed, while telling Siwa that she was ‘giving him stage fright’ as she watched on while he peed in the litter box.
Siwa then seemed to want to see what all the fuss was about, as she popped a squat herself and urinated in the litter box after Hughes.
Clearly keen to completely embody a feline, the former Love Island contestant then told Siwa to ‘flick it with your feet, or your paws’, as an animal would.

But some viewers think Hughes and Siwa took things too far with their litter box stunt (ITV)
The pair both thought the whole thing was hilarious, however, Big Brother swiftly stepped in to remind them that they weren’t actual cats – and so shouldn’t use the bathroom like one.
A warning rang out saying: “This is Big Brother. House cats are reminded that they can use the human toilets.”
Viewers have been left both amused and appalled by Hughes and Siwa’s stunt, as a host of Brits took to social media to share their thoughts.
One said: “This is good BB content in my opinion. I did have my mouth open in shock…but it was funny.”
Another wrote: “This was sickening to watch.”
A third added: “I can’t believe Chris and JoJo actually went through with this. It’s wild, but I’m torn between laughing and cringing. What’s next for these two?”
A fourth wrote: “That was SO funny. These two need to stay in until the end, the most entertaining housemates for sure.”
While a fifth added: “This is not my idea of prime time TV, watching peeing. Gross.”
