The beaten body of a 24-year-old woman was found two days after she vanished from a music festival in Egypt.

Ivonne Daniela Latorre, from Columbia, attended the Zamna electronic music festival in Cairo, Egypt, with her friend, Estefania Bedoy.

After searching for two days, family members learnt that Ivonne was put into a coma at a Cairo hospital with sustained injuries on 29 April.

Colombia One report that ‘according to one of her family members, there are many versions of what happened to Latorre, and this has made the investigation more complex’.

The outlet reports that ‘on social media, some of her friends claim she has been kidnapped and killed’.

It comes after Ivonne sent her parents worrying text messages about two men who were posing as producers.

She claimed that the pair promised to make the two friends into stars.

On text message, Ivonne refers to one man as ‘The Serbian’ and wrote: “They don’t want to make us a band.

“He’s scaring me,” she added.

Ivonne went missing after she reportedly agreed to be picked up at the hotel room with her beauty-pageant-winning friend to go to an afterparty on 27 April.

Her companion Estefania was found at the hotel, and family members located Ivonne’s body at the hospital.

Relative Alexandra Marin told Colombian media: “We had a hard time finding the hospital due to language barriers and the lack of cooperation from the people involved.”

Sadly, the daughter was unable to regain consciousness, and died on 4 May.

Cairo police are said to be questioning the woman’s friend, as well as a person they met locally, and the two men she was introduced to.

The family have now started a GoFundMe, and are seeking to repatriate her body.

“Hello, we are the family and friends of Ivonne Daniela Latorre Sánchez. The goal of this fundraiser is to repatriate her body, as she sadly lost the battle she was fighting after a brutal attack while attending the Zamna festival in Cairo, Egypt,” the post reads.

“At this time, the family does not have the financial means to cover the costs of repatriation.

“We want to help her mom travel as soon as possible to be by your side. Her presence is not only an act of love but also an urgent need in this very delicate moment,” it adds.

LADbible Group has contacted the Egyptian National Police for comment.
