You get millions of people desperately snapping their experiences to post online for the whole world to see, in exchange for some likes.

As bizarre as it sounds, because of this we’ve uncovered a few gems in the 20-or-so years social media has been a priority.

These are the snaps and videos that go viral for all the right reasons – they started with animals being funny and Charlie biting his brother’s finger, but it seems like nowadays anything and everything could rack the numbers in.

One of these examples is an interesting photo that gained popularity for having a unique feature in the background, with many thinking the ‘one in a million’ snap was fake.

It was snapped by a man named Gavin best, who was on a hike.

At first, the photo looks nice with nothing particularly special going on, as we can see the Northern Irish capital of Belfast from Cavehill, a 368-metre rocky hill overlooking the city.

But upon closer inspection, the lovely scenery is accompanied by one of the most unexpected sights ever caught on camera.

There’s someone on the cliff in the distance, it what might be the furthest photobomb ever seen.

But that’s not all – if you zoom into the picture, you’ll see that Gavin had unknowingly timed his photo perfectly.

The man was carrying out the popular technique of jumping up in the air while taking a photo, which is usually done (rather unsuccessfully) by a group.

Against all odds though, this snap captured the man in a near-perfect star jump pose in mid-air.

Gavin had managed to pull off the near-impossible from hundreds of metres away.

Back in 2018, he captioned the post on X: “Took this photo a few days ago. Just spotted something in the distance and zoomed in. How’s that for coincidental timing?”

It was the perfect shot as the man was completely off the ground, possibly while posing for a photo to be taken by someone with him.

However, this quickly worried online users, having thought that the man tried to jump off the cliff.

Not to worry though, as the master photographer clarified that he saw a group of people on the cliff just a few minutes later.

The view in itself is stunning though, even if Gavin said it was ‘quite a yomp’ to get to, though it’s fair to say that the journey for that view would probably be worth it.
