Oasis Hit with Secretive Gag Order on Trump Before US Tour—What Are They Hiding?
Picture this: Oasis—the band that practically invented the phrase “say what you mean and mean what you say”—has just been told to zip it as they gear up for a US tour that’s bound to be, well, anything but quiet . Can you imagine Noel and Liam managing a whole string of American shows without sparking a political hurricane or dropping a single acerbic quip from the stage? The very thought is enough to make me snort-laugh into my morning coffee . It’s like asking the Gallagher brothers to perform on mute, and honestly, that’s a ticket refund riot just waiting to happen . After a headline grabbing reunion rampage through the UK, Oasis is jet-setting to America—land of big dreams, bigger controversies, and the kind of political tension that could make even a Mancunian squabble seem polite . And just as they’re set to hit Chicago, they’ve already been given the classic showbiz warning: no Trump talk—or else . Will they heed the advice? Or will they go full “Whatever” and let the chips—and microphones—fall where they may? Either way, this tour promises to come with more fireworks than the Fourth of July . LEARN MORE
Oasis have been warned to ‘remain silent’ ahead of their US tour which kicks off in Chicago later this month.
While it would be objectively hilarious, although perhaps disappointing for those with tickets, if the two brothers simply didn’t sing a word for their whole tour of the US, their warning is more political than musical.
After a hugely popular UK reunion tour, Noel and Liam will jet off to the United States and Mexico before returning to London at Wembley at the end of September, with later travel plans taking them to Japan, Australia and Brazil among others.
They’ve already delivered moments which have been controversial, iconic and everything in between, with one superfan cancelling her ticket due to Liam using a racially offensive slur online, while the local council in Manchester were forced to take action as thousands headed to Gallagher Hill, in the hopes of catching the concert without the golden ticket.
But America is one of the biggest political hotbeds out there and given some of their previous choice words about the 45th and 47th president, the duo have now been warned to keep their mouths shut when it comes to Donald Trump.

Liam, in true no-nonsense fashion, previously referred to the President as a ‘d***’, while Noel expressed his concerns over Trump’s environmental policies, calling them ‘pretty f***ing scary.’
And given that the 79-year-old’s return to the Oval Office has been filled with controversies such as his crackdown on immigration, tariffs which nearly kickstarted a global trade war and the bombing of Iran, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see either brother take aim at Trump during their upcoming gigs.
Prominent entertainment manager Jonathan Shalit said: “My advice to Oasis is simple: stay out of American politics. If they want their U.S. tour to go ahead without disruption, it would be wise to keep quiet on all things Trump.”

Little does Jonathan know that this will likely only inspire Liam and Noel to think Whatever and say something that might land them in hot water, but you certainly won’t see the Manchester brothers sharing the stage with Trump in the same way that the Chelsea squad did after their Club World Cup success, which left star man Cole Palmer baffled.
Given the president has been left furious by his depiction on South Park, it’s pretty obvious that he’d been keen to avoid any further political commentary from a band as influential as Oasis, but when they inevitably do say something, they’ll probably just tell the president to Roll With It and to Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
