Alan Carr has responded to his feud with Paloma Faith claiming they’re no longer friends after the drama of the Celebrity Traitors.
The series has been a huge hit since launching earlier this month, with Claudia Winkleman selecting Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns, and Alan Carr as her traitorous trio.
While the latter was extremely sweaty and nervous in the first few hours of his new role, he’s quickly grown into it, and it’s perhaps the calm and collected Jonathan Ross who faces the most heat as we prepare for another episode this evening (29 October).
We’ve already seen some ‘absolute cinema‘ during the first six episodes, particularly at the round table, but one of the moments of the series so far was when Alan was asked to murder his first faithful in plain sight, by touching the face of a fellow contestant.
As he was closest with singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, the comedian opted for her, and if you watch the uncloaked reveals that often go viral on social media, you’ll have seen every celebrity say the same thing about how angry she was going to be with the funnyman as soon as she discovers his true identity.

Unfortunately, the jokes about their tainted relationship don’t seem to to be too far from the truth, as Alan has now suggested that they’re no longer friends after he ended her game before it had truly even started.
Speaking on his Life’s A Beach podcast with DJ Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, he was asked if he’s still friends with the London musician, and he said: “Well, I was.”
The 49-year-old may well have slipped up at a recent round table which could put his position at risk in upcoming episodes but outside the drama of reality television, he seems genuinely concerned that his friendship with Faith may well be over.

He added: “She said, ‘If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t have killed me.’ But I said, ‘I’m the Traitor! The show’s called The Traitors – it does what it says on the tin’.
“There’ve been a few little TikToky things where she says I’ve let her down because I killed her in plain sight.”
He also joked that it would have been inappropriate for him to start stroking the face of Stephen Fry or Celia Imrie, and claims he simply panicked by choosing Faith as his first victim.
Carr suggested that he’s keen to take the 44-year-old to dinner to apologise for his actions on the show but perhaps her selection was more painful because of how close they previously were.
