Wedding Day Shock: Woman’s Unexpected Choice That Changed Everything—No Regrets Revealed
Ever wake up and think, “Well, this isn’t how I pictured my big day”? Amy Holyoake sure did—finding herself in bed with another man, not just any man, but a musician she’d met on TikTok, just hours before saying “I do.” You’d think that would throw a wrench in the wedding plans, right? But nope—Amy went ahead with the ceremony, regrets nowhere in sight. Six years in a shaky relationship, feelings of being unheard, and a secret connection sparking online made her question everything. And yet, with a house full of excited guests and all that wedding money on the line, she chose to walk down the aisle anyway, only to confess it all during her honeymoon. It’s a wild ride of emotions, friendship, and passion clashing—and one heck of a reminder to trust your gut before the walk down the aisle. Curious how it all shook out? LEARN MORE.
A bride who woke up in bed with another man on her big day has opened up on how she regrets nothing despite going ahead with the wedding afterwards.
Amy Holyoake had her reservations about her six-year relationship when she became engaged in January 2019. As Amy’s feelings of uncertainty stronger two months prior to the wedding, she started texting a musician she met on TikTok.
The Leeds native admitted that she was ‘drained and all over the place’ before tying the knot, adding: “I didn’t feel listened to. As soon as I set a date for the wedding day, I regretted it instantly. I knew I should’ve left a while ago.
“A lot of my friends said I should’ve left a while ago,” she said, saying that she even ‘felt small’ around him.
Despite having ‘strong feelings’ for the new man, the Brit felt like she couldn’t call the wedding off so near to the date, and she ended up sleeping with the musician on the eve of the wedding itself.
He managed to sneak out of her room at 5am the next morning.
The mum-of-two said she felt a ‘massive amount of guilt and confusion’ over the decision, but not enough to call the wedding off.

She went ahead with the ceremony on 4 August in front of loved ones, waiting for the honeymoon in Scarborough to finally put an end to the relationship.
Amy then told her husband of the affair, and she is now telling other brides to act on any doubts or feelings they may have against their upcoming weddings.
Amy said that she feels ‘a lot stronger’ on her own. She also admitted that she attended one of the musician’s gigs after they started chatting, saying that she ‘fell for him completely’.
After finding him on a random scroll on the social media platform, she messaged him on his live stream to tell him she enjoyed his music, even explaining that she was getting married.
“I tried to just be friends with him but my feelings were way too strong. We had really deep, intelligent conversations that I hadn’t had for a long time,” she claimed.
The mother admitted: “I told my friends two days before the wedding how I felt about him and they said I needed to call off the wedding.

“I said, ‘I can’t, because everyone has put so much money into this wedding’. Everyone was so excited, I couldn’t let everyone down.”
Reflecting on sleeping with the musician the night before the wedding, Amy said that the day was ‘really emotional’ and that she ‘never thought that was going to be me’. Despite her actions, she said that he felt the same way when she broke the news two days into the honeymoon.
“It just felt like a long friendship and we’d lost our way. But he didn’t want to get divorced, he wanted to work on it,” Amy said, though after the honeymoon, she told her husband that she ‘was in love with someone else’.
After telling him she’d slept with a man and fallen for him, her husband didn’t want her in the house, as she explained: “He was really upset. He wanted to get back with me, but I told him he deserved so much better.
“We weren’t happy together. My fiance was a perfectly fine person, I just wasn’t in love with him. There were no feelings of passion.”
Now, Amy is ‘100 percent’ happier with her musician boyfriend, though she regrets not calling the wedding off in the first place.
She highlighted: “I don’t think I do regret (what happened the night before the wedding), which sounds horrible. I feel like if that didn’t happen, it might never have ended.”
