It seems that Ellie Chadwick wasn’t bluffing about being willing to leave the Love Island villa – as she has reportedly quit the dating show.
After repeatedly threatening to pack her bags and abandon her pursuit to find love in Mallorca, it appears the real estate videographer has now followed through on her plans.
Reports have emerged claiming that Ellie, who hails from West Lothian, Scotland, exited the villa shortly after her and Finley Maddock seemingly got back on the right track.
She’s had a rough few days in the villa with her Welsh lover, 23, as she’s been forced to watch the fella who was supposedly besotted with her entertain the latest bombshell to enter, Elicia Bailey.
Despite the 24-year-old and Finley later making amends and appearing ready to give things a serious go, it seems that Ellie had enough.
According to The Sun, she left Love Island on Tuesday (14 July) – which will likely spark some confusion among fans who tuned into the show last night.

Viewers watched Ellie choose Finley to be her partner in the re-coupling which took place during Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV show, although she made it clear he had a lot of making up to do.
“He’s got a f**k ton of work to do to get back to wherever we were before,” Ellie said before announcing who she was choosing.
“But he’s aware of that and I know he’s going to put the work in. He’s not got a choice, really!”
However, Ellie and Finley’s romance is alleged to have ended in ‘dramatic’ fashion in the days that followed this re-coupling.
A source told The Sun: “This is one where the time difference between show action and real life really matters.
“Viewers have seen Ellie threatening to leave across recent episodes, so the news of her now quitting won’t feel like a surprise.
“But in real time, her and Fin reconnected at the re-coupling a few days ago so her decision to now leave is a shock.
“Viewers will see the dramatic action play out in an episode soon.”
Finley Maddock and Elicia Bailey’s flirtiness is likely to be the source of Ellie’s exit (ITV)
Ellie has repeatedly threatened to walk following a spate of bad luck in the villa, but viewers hoped she’d turned a corner after becoming loved up with Finley.
However, this all went to pot after bombshell Elicia, 23, registered her interest in him. Finely then planted a kiss on her during a date away from the villa, which didn’t go down well with Ellie.
Despite insisting she was ‘done’ with their relationship, he appeared to have managed to convince the Scotswoman to give him another chance during Tuesday’s episode of Love Island.
However, it seems it really is curtains for the former flight attendant for Ryanair and Finley.
Even the lads were growing impatient with his antics at this stage of the game, as viewers saw Aidan, Samraj and Tommy discuss his behaviour in the episode last night.
After Aidan pointed out they have ‘defended him a lot in here’, Samraj said of Finley: “I feel like he’s mugged Ellie off, he’s mugged Elicia off, he’s mugged the boys off, he’s mugged the girls off and he’s mugging himself off.”

Fan favourite Ellie – who has received praise for keeping the fellas in the villa in check during this year’s Love Island – is the third contestant to leave this series prematurely.
Shortly after it began airing George Knight left for ‘personal reasons’, before the real source of his exit from the villa then emerged.
Gabriel Garland, who arrived in Casa Amor, was then removed from the show after it emerged he was named in court documents relating to a stabbing incident.
The 24-year-old said that a judge found no wrongdoing on his part and that he has no criminal record.
In a video shared to Instagram earlier this month, Garland said: “It is a shame that I’m making this video, but after everything that’s been said about me over the past couple days, I just wanted to clear a few things up.
“There was an incident that happened at a party I was at when I was a teenager.
“This incident is obviously one that should not be taken lightly, and was very traumatic for everyone concerned. I just wanted to make it clear that the legal judge has found no wrongdoing against me, and I don’t have a criminal record. This has obviously resulted in me leaving Love Island, which is very disappointing, especially from a personal perspective.”
It is believed that the final of Love Island 2026 will air on 27 July, according to reports, but the date has not been confirmed by ITV.

Many had high hopes when season seven contestant Shannon entered the villa back in 2021, as she quickly became a fan favourite and coupled up with Aaron Francis.
However, that quickly came crashing down when none other than Chloe Burrows rocked up and was tasked to pick a boy to recouple with.
Chloe ended up choosing Aaron, leading to Shannon being brutally dumped on day three.
Chuggs Wallis – two days
He’s since appeared on Made In Chelsea (ITV)
Season two bombshell Chuggs joined the show on day four alongside Liam Reardon. He failed to recouple with any of the girls and then Rachel Finni chose Brad McClelland over him, resulting in Chuggs being sent home.
Despite this, he managed to make an appearance on Love Island: All Stars in 2025, however, he was dumped after seven days.
Georgia Townend – two days
Georgia’s Love Island experience didn’t last long (ITV)
Georgia, another season seven star, stepped into the villa on day 23 and had her eyes set on Hugo Hammond.
Unfortunately, there was no connection between them, which led to her being booted off after a couple of days.
Ben Porter and Poppy Farnan – one day

If you cast your mind all the way back to season one then you might remember Ben and Poppy’s short but sweet time on Love Island.
They arrived not long before the season ended, failing to make a mark on the fellow islanders and ultimately getting dumped after less than 24 hours.
Oliver Maxwell Fernandez – one day
Yes, this guy did actually appear on Love Island (ITV)
Perhaps one of the least memorable Love Island contestants of all time is season two’s Oliver.
He arrived at the villa on day 30 but after failing to turn any heads, the girls sent him packing just a day later.
Malia Arkian – less than a day
While Malia takes the crown for the shortest time on Love Island, her appearance is certainly one to remember.
In season two, she entered the villa on day seven, taking Scott Thomas on a date. However, the move didn’t sit well with Kady McDermott, who was coupled up with Scott.
The pair ended up coming to blows when Malia accused Kady of spilling a drink on her, leading to one of the most explosive moments in the show’s history and Malia’s swift removal from the villa.
