Disney Icon’s Stunning Transformation at 18 Will Leave Fans Speechless—See the Unexpected New Look!

Ever notice how time has this sneaky habit of catching up with us when even the tiniest TV tots start celebrating their 18th birthdays? Back in the days between 2010 and 2014, Mia Talerico was the pint-sized star of Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie, forever immortalized in meme stardom with that unforgettable GIF of her raising her hands in a pink coat—probably more famous than the show itself at this point. Fast forward 12 years, and the toddler we thought we’d always remember as the meme has stepped into adulthood, proving once again that aging is the ultimate plot twist. If you’re feeling a tad older just reading that, trust me, you’re not alone—and Mia? She looks totally different now, grown-up and ready to take on the world (no more pink coats, unfortunately). Curious about how the viral toddler turned teen celeb is doing and what quirky birthday wishes she has now? Take a walk down memory lane and find out what she’s been up to since the show wrapped. You know you’re getting old when even the toddlers who appeared on TV have grown up.

Back between 2010 and 2014, Mia Talerico spent her younger years appearing on the Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie where she attained viral fame for becoming an iconic meme.

The GIF of her putting her hands up while wearing a pink coat has been shared around millions of times and people might be more familiar with it than the show it came from.

It’s been 12 years since Good Luck Charlie ended and in that time Talerico has grown up to the point that she’s now celebrating turning 18.

If you can physically feel yourself getting older at this point then you’re probably not alone, and as you might have guessed she looks completely different now.

That is the usual consequence of aging from being a toddler to a teenager, it’d frankly be quite concerning if she looked just the same as she used to.

She’s still got the blonde hair but now it’s many, many years after the image of her viral fame became seared into people’s memories so Talerico is up, about and most likely wouldn’t be able to wear the pink coat she used to have for Good Luck Charlie.

In an Instagram video posted for her followers she said on her last day of being 17 that she would ‘still be a kid at heart’, then rattled through a list of things she wanted her mum to get her for her 18th birthday.

She also wanted a bunch of clothes and gadgets, including a fancy camera and a smart ring that tracks how healthy you are, as well as a yoga mat.

While Good Luck Charlie is long gone, Talerico has continued to act as she appeared in the TV show Mani between 2018 and 2022, while this year she’s appeared in American Summer and Karmageddon.

Another child star who looks very different to how you might remember them is Travis Yates, who Brits of a certain age would know better as ‘Devilfinger’, the kid from the TV show Stupid who would poke people and say his hand was possessed so it wasn’t his fault.

He was still getting recognised by people for it many years later, even when he’d been on tour with his band one of the supporting acts realised they were playing alongside ‘Devilfinger’.

While he’s managed to keep some of his youthful looks, in the same way that Thomas Brodie-Sangster doesn’t seem to age very much, Travis did end up getting bleach blonde hair for a time.
