Shock Elimination Rocks Celebrity Traitors as First Victim Exposed in Jaw-Dropping Cliffhanger
Are you ever truly safe at breakfast — or is that just when the knives come out on Celebrity Traitors? Here we are, perched at the edge of another couch with coffee in hand, teeth sinking into a smug donut while the show’s biggest twist yet drops harder than a suspiciously heavy teapot. Last night’s episode was a dogfight: we witnessed Maya Jama and Richard E Grant (yes, you read that right — Richard E Grant himself) plotting, scheming, and flat-out flipping the fate of James Acaster and Amol Rajan with the cold precision of industrial air conditioning. I couldn’t help but wonder, as the suspense built — is it worse to be the first eliminated, or the first forced to join the other side? The drama. The betrayal. The accidental breadcrumbs of strategy, scattered everywhere. And if you think you’ve figured out who’s safe, well, think again. There might be clues in plain sight, but can you really trust anyone at this table? LEARN MORE

The first player to fall on Celebrity Traitors has been revealed after last night’s cliff-hanger where James Acaster and Amol Rajan were both up for the chop, with the survivor recruited into team traitor.
The pair of chosen traitors Maya Jama and Richard E Grant decided they’d close the coffin lid on the journalist and recruit the comedian, even though Acaster had made it clear he really wanted to stay faithful.
“I hope that doesn’t happen. I’d like to be a Faithful,” he’d said on the show.
“This is the only time I’ll be able to play it, and I like being in a position of figuring something out rather than having the information the Traitors have.”
However, he was chosen because he’d been one of the main players going after Richard after the celebrated actor had told the group he was a traitor just a few minutes after being picked.

The signs were there from before Celebrity Traitors was broadcast after clues that Acaster was in the show for at least a decent amount of time, and anyone who was betting on Rajan to stick around will have lost out.
While the move to recruit James Acaster was the hope of team traitor to flip one of their main opponents to their side, and indeed just after breakfast Julie Hesmondhalgh told him she considered him a ‘traitor hunter’.
It might be a bit early to be calling people that when they haven’t caught anyone yet, and Julie’s not to know that she was right to think Acaster on the money but had no idea he’d already been flipped to the other team.
Since the faithfuls have so little to go on, someone directly saying they’re a traitor is bound to cause suspicion, the kind that’s hard to shift throughout the game and its many episodes.
Even if he survives tonight’s action can he expect to survive much longer?
