A-Listers Flock to David Beckham’s 50th Bash—But Why Was His Own Son Missing?
Can you believe it—David Beckham is officially 50?! I mean, wasn’t it just yesterday he was bending it past goalkeepers and debuting yet another haircut for us to copy (or, honestly, fail to copy)? Time, you’re a cruel, relentless thing . There’s something poetic (and a smidge terrifying) about a man whose face has been plastered on everything from Pepsi cans to perfume counters now celebrating a half-century in the glitziest way possible. Honestly, if I could age that well, I’d throw myself a bash too—complete with Tom Cruise sneaking in through the side door and Gordon Ramsay making sure dinner didn’t taste like a microwave meal . But even in a room shimmering with A-list celebrities, all the candles and cake in London can’t hide a hint of heartbreak: Brooklyn Beckham, the golden child of the Beckham clan, was notably absent.
Is it even a celebrity milestone without a touch of family drama? Buckle up—behind the glimmer and the guest list, this birthday party just might have more plot twists than a telenovela. LEARN MORE.
Just in case you needed to feel a little older today, David Beckham is 50.
The man of many haircuts and some memorable free-kicks is one of the most recognisable faces in football, not just because of his skills on the pitch but also likely because he’s so darned handsome.
Beckham and his wife Victoria have spent much of their lives in the social media spotlight, so it’s no surprise that he’s managed to amass a pretty impressive contacts book when it comes to other celebrities.
He celebrated reaching a half century alongside friends and family in London this week, although it’s unclear whether or not Victoria’s favourite meal was on the menu.
Sadly, it appears that the couple’s eldest child, Brooklyn, wasn’t in attendance at the party, with one source suggesting to The Sun that the former Manchester United man was ‘heartbroken’.
They said: “David is heartbroken but putting a brave face on it. Tonight is all about celebration and love, and he is swimming in it.
“Brooklyn actually informed his parents a while ago that he and his wife, Nicola, would not be attending but, of course, David and Victoria desperately hoped he would change his mind.
“It’s a dagger to the heart that he hasn’t attended a single one of David’s 50th celebrations – and hurts the whole family including the grandparents and siblings. Brooklyn is a really sweet boy and everyone loves him dearly.
“They just hope things can be patched up soon. In the mean time, everyone around David are doing all they can to give him a magical evening to remember.”

While David wasn’t able to mark the occasion with his first-born son, he did have Gordon Ramsay there, which is a pretty fantastic substitute if you ask me.
The celebrity chef attended alongside his wife Tana, while Tom Cruise reportedly snuck in through a side entrance, which I suppose is far easier than descending slowly from the ceiling in his usual Mission Impossible style.

The list of A-listers didn’t end there, with Eva Longoria, Beckham’s former agent Dave Gardner, Gary Neville and Guy Ritchie also there for their slices of the birthday cake.

Celebrity news website TMZ (via Standard) suggest that the 26-year-old didn’t show because he and his wife Nicola Peltz have vowed to avoid any events which include Romeo Beckham’s current girlfriend Kim Turnbull.
It’s claimed she previously dated one of Brooklyn’s close friends. It wouldn’t be a celebrity family without a bit of drama every now and then.
