Ancient Troy’s Lost Melody: Bone Flute Unearthed That Could Rewrite the Soundtrack of the ‘Iliad’ and ‘Odyssey’

Although the coincidence of a flute being found at Troy and a flute at Troy being described by Homer is intriguing, archaeologists stressed that there is no concrete evidence that directly links the newly-unearthed instrument to either Homer or the composition of his poems.

Aslan also highlighted a different coincidence involving the recent film adaptation of the Odyssey. Although much about this flute remains unclear, its discovery opens up new avenues of further study into the captivating story of ancient Troy.
