“Beyond the Bite: Discover the Deadliest Creatures Lurking in Our Oceans and Jungles!”
2. Black Mamba
There are a lot of interesting facts about the Black Mamba, one of which is it’s not actually black. The Black Mamba is dark brown or gray and only got the name because of its black mouth. It’s also one of the fastest snakes on this planet, reaching speeds of up to 12.5 mph. These natives of the savannas in Africa can grow up to 8 meters long.
The scariest aspect of this species is that its bite is fatal to humans unless they are given immediate medical attention. To kill a human being, only two drops of a Black Mamba’s venom are needed. This is terrifying because each fang of a Black Mamba delivers at least 12 drops of venom. If you do the math, Black Mambas can take down big predators, such as elephants, in one bite.
3. Box Jellyfish
Most species of Jellyfish are harmless to humans. However, the Box Jellyfish is not to be messed with. Ranked by some publications as the most venomous marine life, the Box Jellyfish can produce a venom that can attack the human heart, skin cells, and nervous system. Its venom can trigger heart failure or shock even before the swimmer reaches the shore, thus leading to drowning. Like the Inland Taipan, the Box Jellyfish is mainly found in the coastal waters of Northern Australia. It has 15 tentacles, each containing around 5,000 stinging cells. This creature has been attributed to the death of many swimmers in different parts of the world.
4. Cone Snail
Because people are so used to sea snail shells washing up on the beach, they are not considered deadly. However, in the case of the Cone Snail, it’s a different story. After Box Jellyfish, Cone Snails come in second as the most dangerous animals in the ocean.
