Big Brother Contestant Ousted in Shock Eviction—What Really Happened Behind Closed Doors?
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be called to the diary room, not for a chat, but to get the boot from Big Brother while the world—and your housemates—are fast asleep? George Gilbert, the Essex parish councillor whose stay in the house was as tempestuous as a British summer, just found out the hard way. I have to admit, it takes a special sort of bravado (or perhaps miscalculation?) to single-handedly provoke not only your housemates, but the entire British viewing public, and force ITV into a primetime moral dilemma. Was this just another example of Big Brother’s social experiment gone haywire, or is it proof reality TV still desperately clings to those moments that toe the line between controversy and catastrophe? Either way, this is one expulsion that you can’t help but watch—cringing, laughing, and maybe even wincing at the sheer drama of it all . For the nitty-gritty and a front-row seat to George’s infamous exit, LEARN MORE.
ITV has revealed the moment Big Brother contestant George Gilbert discovered he was being removed from the show.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the parish councillor had been removed from the reality series after receiving a formal warning regarding unacceptable language and behaviour.
The Essex native has been at the centre of several controversies since entering Big Brother, regularly getting involved in heated debates with his other housemates and even reducing fellow housemate, LGBTQ+ rights activist Sam Ashby, to tears with his behaviour.
Tonight (9 October), viewers will see the 23-year-old learning his fate, with ITV sharing a clip of the moment ahead of broadcast.
In the clip shared on social media, George is called to the diary room while the housemates are asleep.

“George, before you entered the Big Brother house the rules regarding unacceptable and offensive language and behaviour were explained to you,” Big Brother explained.
“Big Brother has warned you on several separate occasions about your language including issuing you with a formal warning.”
They continued: “Despite prior warnings and the opportunities we have given you to adjust your language in the house, you have persisted in using offensive language.
“As a result, Big Brother has no choice but to remove you from the house.”
George is seen holding his head in his hands as he learns of his fate, before reluctantly accepting his fate.
“If that’s what you want to do, then there’s no point me, trying to convince you otherwise. Sorry it’s ended like this,” he responds. Watch the moment below:
The aftermath of George’s removal will likely also be shown in the upcoming episode.
Prior to confirmation of his removal, George is understood to have received several warnings, but these were not aired to viewers.
ITV has also decided against airing the comment which led to George being removed from the house, however, The Sun has claimed the actor allegedly made a comment which ‘could be interpreted as antisemitic’.
“Everyone was absolutely disgusted,” the source said. “Nobody could believe what he said – he was clearly out to shock people.”

His comments wouldn’t be included in the episode due to broadcasting standard violations.
George has since responded to his removal from the house with the following statement: “As a flag-bearer of freedom of speech, I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.
“Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective. And I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.
“It is a shame that a specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this. Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me.”
