A comedian who lost it at a heckler and grabbed his friend’s phone has spoken out on the viral incident in which she had a ‘meltdown’.

Natalie Cuomo has almost half a million followers on TikTok where she posts clips of her comedy sets.

The viral clip saw her get down in the face of a heckler following crowd work gone wrong.

Cuomo had joked that a pair of men in the front row were a couple, which led one to heckle back and say: “It’s not my fault that you don’t have material. I can roast you too, you can’t roast all of us and get nothing.”

Though the audience member didn’t seem to understand that ‘yes, that is often how a comedy show works’, it led to a short back and forth with the comedian.

After this, she accused him of putting out ‘negative energy’ before she exploded, yelling: “No, look me in the eyes! You’re putting negative f**king energy out there!

“This is the last show of my f**king weekend, look me in the f***ing eyes! It’s a sold-out show and you want to say mean s**t to me? Don’t f**king do that!”

The original clip now has well over a million views and led to her addressing it at a recent stand-up show.

In a new clip posted to TikTok Cuomo spoke about the incident, joking that she had a ‘meltdown’.

The clip opens with her asking: “Did anyone see me have a meltdown recently online?”

She went on to say, “So don’t f**k with me,” before genuinely adding “Actually, please don’t f**k with me.”

She jokingly went on to say: “I actually have the same agent as Kanye and they only dropped one of us so…

“It’s just so ironic that I went viral for saying ‘look me in the eyes’ when my husband is autistic.”

Though the comedian turned it into a light-hearted moment, she did make a shocking admission, saying “I’m getting death threats, all these guys are saying they want to finish me.”

Not one to pass up the opportunity for a good punchline however, Cuomo added: “I’m used to men saying they want to finish on me.”

After the heckler was kicked out he ended up texting his friend, leading her to grab his phone and read it out.

The heckler texted his friend saying he had ‘told him’ he would get kicked out.

In the comments of the post Cuomo explained that afterwards he had come and spoken to her, explaining it was his first time hanging out with the heckler.

She also commented: “The friend was really embarrassed and apologised after the show.”
