What looked great in the store under those perfect, fluorescent lights may feel like a terrible decision on your walls. And once you’ve gone through the ordeal of painting, the last thing you want to feel is regret every time you step into a room. Most of these colors are great as an accent if paired with another color, but going all in with one color may lead to regret and a waste of money.

So, before you go full throttle on that gallon of paint, here’s a little heads-up on paint colors that might leave you wondering, “What was I thinking?”

1. Eggplant Purple
