People have been left stunned after watching a wrestler electrocute his own dad during a brutal ‘death match’.

You’d be forgiven for thinking Jack Harrop’s father was his worst enemy, rather than one of his parents, after seeing the footage of the family clash in Sheffield.

The 27-year-old was going up again his own flesh and blood, Isaac ‘Iceman’ Harrop, 49, in the ring at the Peddler Events Warehouse.

The wrestlers and relatives, from Durham, went head to head in a ‘death match‘, which is essentially a no holds barred battle where competitors can use a string of terrifying weapons.

Think steel chairs, bats wrapped in barbed wire – and apparently, plugging your dad up to the mains.

In shocking footage shared on social media, Jack can be seen connecting jump leads to a battery while Isaac – dubbed the UK‘s founder of death matches – is seen resting on the metal ropes in exhaustion.

Proving he wasn’t playing around, the lad then put the red and the black leads together, sending sparks flying across the ring.

Jack then approaches the worse for wear-looking Isaac, who is chained to the metal ropes, and sticks the jump leads on them – before the dad disturbingly appears to start convulsing.

Even the referee looked absolutely blown away by the wrestler’s antics, as he frantically kicked the leads away from the Iceman to put a stop to the so-called ‘live electrocution’ and called for the bell.

According to reports, Jack is the one who walked away victorious… if you couldn’t guess after watching that clip.

The savage bout between the father and son took place as part of an event hosted by the ICW No Holds Barred and Leeds-based Rise England promotions over the weekend.

Promoters promised it would be one of the ‘most violent set of shows’ hosted in the UK, and it seems like they delivered on that.

But a lot of social media users have said that they have been left sickened by the levels of violence used during these ‘death matches’ after Jack and Isaac’s fight video went viral.

One person said in a post on X: “This isn’t wrestling,” as a second simply wrote: “Stupid.”

A third then added: “I know some people enjoy this kinda stuff but for me it loses the art at a certain point and just becomes corny and fake gore basically.”

Jack himself then decided to chime in the online conversation to clarify a few things, while insisting that he really did electrocute his dad – but things aren’t exactly as they seem.

The wrestler hit back saying: “Explain to me how you can fake a car battery hooked up to jump leads sparks visible touching them together? Then sparking on the chains? How is this fake and corny? That can’t be faked.”

However, he did go onto reveal that the death match wasn’t as high stakes as the crowd thought.

Jack said that he was using a 12 volt battery during the stunt, which ‘wouldn’t hurt you, never mind kill you’.

He also joked that his dad was ‘sitting on his a*se and pretending to get zabbed’ while conversing with social media users about the controversial father-son clash.
