“From Skeptic to Advocate: How Joe Rogan’s Controversial Guest Changed Everything”
In a surprising turn of events, Joe Rogan, the iconic host of the world’s top podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, decided to do a complete 180° by inviting one of his most notorious past guests back onto his platform—Donald Trump. Just a year prior, Rogan had openly stated his reluctance to host the former president, citing his lack of interest in “helping” him and even going so far as to refer to him as a “man baby!” Now, one can’t help but wonder: what could possibly have changed Rogan’s mind? Is it the lure of a massive audience or a genuine curiosity about Trump’s policies? Perhaps he just realized that a three-hour conversation with the former president would be more entertaining than his last deep dive into mushroom varieties…! Whatever the reason, the recent dynamic shift in Rogan’s guest list highlights the complexities and surprises of modern media. Curious to see how it all unfolded? LEARN MORE.
Joe Rogan, the man behind the number one podcast in the world, U-turned when he invited one of his most famous guests onto the platform.
This was after the UFC commentator said he had turned them down multiple times, saying ‘no every time’.
And the reason? 57-year-old Rogan said he had ‘no interest in helping’ the potential guest while also describing him as a ‘man baby’.
Hosting The Joe Rogan Experience on the likes of Spotify and YouTube, Rogan has become the number one name in the industry due to his frank interviews that usually last a number of hours.
It has seen guests properly open up on issues and speak candidly on a public platform; something Rogan’s fans keep coming back for.
Guests on the podcast have included the world’s richest man Elon Musk – who smoked a joint while sat opposite from Rogan – as well as now retired heavyweight boxer, Tyson Fury. There was also Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Snoop Dogg.
The guests Rogan lands combined with the format he has means The Joe Rogan Experience has boomed in value to a reported $250 million (£203 million) since signing his latest deal with Spotify.
Despite this, it is clear Rogan has been picky about who goes on his podcast.

Sure, newly elected President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, appeared on the podcast back in November 2024.
But it was only a year earlier that Rogan said he was never going to entertain Trump.
What has Joe Rogan said about Trump?
Speaking in 2023, Rogan went as far as calling the POTUS a ‘man baby’.
During an interview with computer scientist Lex Fridman, Rogan said: “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form.
“I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once.

“I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
Ahead of Trump’s actual appearance on the show in the run up to the 2024 presidential election, one Trump adviser said: “Perhaps the only person bigger in the new media world than Joe Rogan is Donald Trump and the whole idea that the two of them would be together at long last – it would be an incredible audience.”

And it’s hard to argue otherwise, with the conversation between Rogan and Trump lasting three hours and touching upon a number of series and personal issues.
Rogan’s U-turn
Trump this week thanked his son Barron for recommending he push to appear on the podcast to capture the younger vote during the election period.
Rogan invited both Trump and his opponent, former Vice President Kamala Harris, on to the podcast to discuss matters ahead of polling day.
Harris never appeared due to a clash in how it should be done, with Rogan wanting it in person while her team recommended it be virtual. He also wanted it to be three hours while her campaign team would only give them an hour of her time.

What did Trump speak about on Rogan’s podcast?
While speaking to Rogan, Trump spoke about releasing secret government files relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
The issue of UFOs was also discussed, with Trump saying he had spoken to pilots who had seen ‘very strange’ things in the sky.
And despite once labelling him a ‘man baby’, it is clear to see that Trump valued his time with Rogan, with the latter invited to his presidential inauguration as he was sworn in as the 47th POTUS.
