Alexander Skarsgård spoke out about a controversial act he had to carry out in a ‘disturbing’ horror movie, which took place during an orgy scene in the film.
The Skarsgårds are no strangers to controversial films and shows.
Alex’s brother Bill appeared in It, and more recently Nosferatu, both of which are aligned on killing kids to further the plot, while other brother Gustaf appeared in the sex heavy and ultra-violent Vikings.
None of these, however, compare to the disturbing horror Alex was in, recently added to Netflix.
The orgy scene took place in a film called Infinity Pool, written and directed by Brandon Cronenberg.
If the name rings a bell, as well as also directing Possessor, he is the son of master of creepy f**ked up films, David Cronenberg.
Infinity Pool is a deeply controversial and, frankly, f**ked up film.
The horror features copious amounts of sex, violence, and bizarre mind-bending scenes.
For some though, including many who reviewed the film, this sounds like the perfect cocktail (no pun intended).

It received an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, with Mark Kermode writing in a four star review for The Observer: “It may not be for everyone, but I dived deep into Infinity Pool – twice – and enjoyed the hell out of the experience.”
One of the scenes in particular that was not for everyone is the orgy scene, which Alexander Skarsgård’s character took part in.
A specific aspect of that scene was a first for Skarsgård: getting his toes sucked by a man.
He was asked in an interview with BuzzFeed if the film features the wildest sex scenes he’s been part of, to which he said ‘Yeah, I think so’, before adding: “The fact I even have to think about that. … [Laughs] I don’t think I’ve had my toes sucked by another man before, on screen.
“That wasn’t the craziest thing we did in the movie.

“But yeah, it’s some pretty graphic stuff, to say the least. Yeah.”
He also said that there was an intimacy co-ordinator on set, adding: “[It was] quite endearing to watch Karim [Hussein, the cinematographer] and Brandon [Cronenberg] behind the camera like two little boys playing with Lego, to be so excited about all their gadgets that they were trying out.”
The director David Cronenberg, who revealed that Skarsgård’s penis in the film is an ‘impressive’ prosthetic, doused any thoughts that filming the orgy scene was exciting or racy.
He said of filming it in a discussion with The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s really like shooting like any other scene.
Infinity Pool is a dividing film (Elevation Pictures)
“When you’re actually shooting the scene, it’s all very meticulously planned and shot.
“We had an intimacy coordinator on the film and we rehearsed with and all the actors and we had discussions with people about what they were comfortable with, what their boundaries were.”
The film was a disturbing watch for many fans, with some even struggling to finish it.
One viewer on Reddit said: “Well mark me down as scared AND horny.”
Another said: “Sometimes hedonistic sex scenes can get boring or overdone but I loved the visual style of the orgy in this so much it didn’t feel like that,” before going on to complement the ‘aggressive’ handjob scene.
Infinity Pool is available to watch on Netflix in the UK and Ireland (if you dare).
