A woman who manages a legal brothel has shared the most ‘bizarre’ thing she’s seen requested.

Catherine De Noire runs one of the biggest brothels in Europe, said to welcome anywhere ‘between 500 and 1,000 people’ through the doors a day.

So, it’s fair to say the 31-year-old has seen some stuff over the past near decade or so in the business.

Saying her work begins at 7pm and ends at 6am, De Noire oversees a team of about 60 people, while the sex workers are ‘independent contractors’ and she has a ‘relational’ role with them, rather than as a manager.

Also researching sex work, the woman has been pretty open about the ‘exact time’ men tend to cheat on their partners or why they visit there in the first place.

And one ‘bizarre’ case she’s seen apparently didn’t even have anything properly ‘sexual’ take place.

In what was ‘just another Tuesday’ for the brothel manager, she described how one man showed up with a toolbox, a jumpsuit and an ‘urgent look on his face.’

“Not the kind of urgency that you would expect in a brothel, but the kind reserved for when your boiler breaks down,” she wrote for Newsweek.

“He nodded politely to the receptionist, checked in with the same quiet formality someone might use at a dentist’s office, and then went upstairs.”

De Noire explained he then spent the next hour getting busy, in a worker way – repairing the sink, adjusting the shower and testing the toilet.

“All of it in character and with his own set of tools. The sex worker he had booked played along, letting him go about his performative plumbing uninterrupted,” she explained.

And then once his time was over, the bloke changed back into his normal clobber and thanked the worker for a ‘wonderful evening.’

He then left the brothel with ‘the calm satisfaction of a man who had fulfilled a deep need.’

“Nothing sexual had happened, at least not in the traditional sense, and yet, that hour had satisfied someone’s very real desire,” De Noire added.

“To some, this may sound bizarre, laughable, or even just plain sad. But for me, the manager of a legal brother, it was just another Tuesday.”

It doesn’t exactly faze DeNoire who said she has ‘seen just about every expression of sexuality you can imagine.’

“And a few you definitely cannot,” the brothel manager joked.
