Inside the Scandalous Holiday Destination Where British Couples Risk It All and Secrets Unravel
Cheating – it’s the ugly mosquito buzzing around relationships worldwide, and honestly, it feels like it’s biting more people than ever these days. Now, relationship “gurus” love to preach about the seven telltale signs your partner might be “silent cheating” behind your back, but I’ve got news for you—it’s often way simpler (and messier) than those neat little checklists. I mean, if you fancy a romp with someone else, why not break up and save yourself the drama, unless you’re ready to star on Channel 4’s next swinging adventure, right? Yet, plenty of folks prefer to sneak around, especially on holiday—because, really, who’s gonna bust out a private investigator just to catch a cheeky text? Interestingly, one notorious hotspot seems to have earned itself a grim nickname: the “marriage destroyer.” Think: warm weather, cheap booze, and lots of opportunity. If your sweetheart’s just landed back from Magaluf, and suddenly has a mysterious new “friend” in their phone, you might wanna raise an eyebrow or two… Ready to dive into the scandalous deets? LEARN MORE.
Cheating is something that continues to plague relationships across the world and sadly it seems to be more common than ever.
Relationship experts are always keen to remind us of the ‘seven signs’ that suggest your partner is silent cheating on you, but the reality is often more simple.
Although it seems strange (to me at least) to not just want to break up with your partner if you want to sleep with someone else, unless you’re willing to go live on Channel 4 and share your bed openly with some other swingers, there are plenty of lads and lasses who are guilty of wanting a little extra on the side.
Unless you hire a private investigator, you may never find out the truth of whether or not your partner has cheated on you but its probably fair to say that lads holidays are often a source of sexual subterfuge.
And it turns out that one spot in particular is home to deceitful partners on holiday, so much so that IllicitEncounters, a dating website for people seeking affairs, has dubbed it a ‘marriage destroyer.’

If you guessed that it would be one of the spots in Spain, where the locals love us ever so, and you’d be absolutely right because its Magaluf that has earned this unwanted title.
As one undercover journalist discovered last year, Magaluf can be a pretty awful place when it comes to ‘predators and parties’, and a survey from IllicitEncounters found that it is also where most people have cheated on, or found out that their partner has cheated on them.
More than 2,000 users of the site were polled and Magaluf comfortably topped the list of places to be promiscuous.
Jessica Leoni, a spokesperson for the site, suggested that warm weather, freedom from routine and cheap alcohol is a holy trinity of things that leads to someone being led astray.

Apparently, these holiday flings are more than just that, as the survey also found that 87 per cent of people stay in touch with those they sleep with abroad, which frankly seems far more than when doing it in this country (not that I would know).
So, if your partner is just back from Magaluf and has a mysterious new friend in their contacts, then you might just want to start asking some questions.
For those of you interested in seeking some more adulterous adventures without the pounding rave music in the background, then the survey also found that Cheltenham is the UK’s ‘new adultery capital.’ Its amazing what winning a few quid on the horses can do to a person.
