Jeremy Clarkson’s Amazon Prime Payday for “Clarkson’s Farm” Will Leave You Stunned
Ever wondered what Jeremy Clarkson’s bank account really looks like every time someone nicks a glass from his pub? Well, you’re not the only one. With season four of Clarkson’s Farm about to plow onto our screens, I found myself doing the mental gymnastics to figure out whether Diddly Squat farm is the world’s quirkiest tax write-off—or if Clarkson’s just cheekily laughing all the way to the bank (despite apparently losing a tenner every time a customer orders a pie).
It’s a bizarre paradox: TV’s favorite motormouth works “round the clock” to eke out a living from piglets and potatoes, meanwhile Amazon quietly wires him millions for every muddy mishap and bemused eye-roll aired on Prime Video . I mean, I try not to get green-eyed about celebrity paychecks, but the sheer math here would make an accountant weep (or cackle). Are the sheep, tractors, and runaway pint glasses really making Jeremy skint? Or is this the greatest reality-TV hustle of all time?

Though Clarkson has admitted that every time someone eats in his pub it costs him £10, the pub has likely paid for itself through maintaining interest in the show, one of Prime’s most popular.

As a result, The Mirror reports that he negotiated an eye-watering contract for the first three season’s of the show.

How much has Clarkson made from The Diddly Squat farm?
The star’s Diddly Squat farm initially made very little profit, making just £114 following the conclusion of the first season.
He was also faced with major obstacles in the latter seasons of the series, particularly season three in which several piglets shockingly died.
Despite this, Diddly Squat farm has turned into a money-maker for Clarkson.
As of last year, the farm had made a total profit of £72,601.
His pub, however, has not been quite as profitable an endeavour for the TV star.

Speaking in his Sunday Times column, Clarkson revealed that every customer that eats at his The Farmer’s Dog pubs costs him £10, and even spoke about one of the biggest barriers to turning a profit.
One of the biggest issues Clarkson has faced is his commitment to only using British produce and drinks, causing certain items to be far more expensive.
Another surprising issue, however, is theft, with the TV star saying: “Behind the scenes, then, everything is a total disaster. But the fact is that when you go there you just wouldn’t know.
“The theft, for example, is extraordinary. People seem to have it in their heads that if they come in for a pint, they are entitled to go home with the glass in which it was served.
“Last Sunday 104 went missing. And that cost must be added to the £100 a day we spend on fuel for the generator, the £400 a week it costs to provide warmth on the terrace and the £27,000 a month we must spend on parking and traffic marshals to keep the council off our back.”
