Mickey Rourke has been booted out of Celebrity Big Brother for ‘further use of inappropriate language’, ITV have said.
It was announced last night (12 April) that the actor, 72, would no longer feature in the ITV reality show just days after he received a formal warning.
Rourke has had quite the bumpy ride during his brief stint in Celebrity Big Brother, causing offence to his housemates and viewers alike with both his behaviour and comments.
Now, the actor is no longer part of CBB as a spokesperson for the show explained that his ‘further use’ of these actions resulted in him being kicked out of the house.
A short statement from an ITV spokesperson announcing his departure read: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”

According to reports, Rourke raised tensions in the house again on Saturday night (12 April) and Love Island star Chris Hughes was the one on the receiving end.
There was no physical altercation, ITV said.
Viewers had been calling for Rourke to be ejected from the get go, as even his entrance was marred by controversy due to his ‘creepy’ behaviour with host AJ Odudu.
The New York native then made homophobic comments towards Jojo Siwa, which left her partner ‘sick to their stomach’ and her mother ‘really sad‘.
The former boxer also left Eastenders star Patsy Palmer in tears in Friday’s (11 April) episode after criticising her cooking.
Bella Thorne then spoke out about Rourke’s alleged inappropriate behaviour on the set of the 2020 film Girl, saying working with him was ‘one of the all time worst experiences of her life working as an actress‘.
Rourke’s representative told Variety that they are ‘aware of the statements made by Bella Thorne regarding her experience on set with Mr. Rourke during the production of a past film’.
“These allegations are extremely serious. Mr. Rourke adamantly denies any intentional misconduct,” the statement said.
“He was not made aware of any such concerns during filming and had no prior knowledge of Ms. Thorne’s discomfort until now.”

It added: “Out of respect for all parties and given the gravity of the claims, Mr. Rourke will not be making further public comment at this time.
“He remains willing to cooperate with any appropriate inquiry through the proper channels.
“We affirm the right of every performer to feel safe and respected in their work environment.”
A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother also told The Independent of Rourke’s departure: “All Housemates receive Respect and Inclusion training and an extensive briefing from the Big Brother Senior team to prepare them for living in the House and to set out Big Brother’s expectation for appropriate behaviour and language.
“Housemates are monitored 24 hours a day and instances of inappropriate behaviour are dealt with appropriately and timely.”
