Amy Bradley disappeared 27 years ago in a high-profile story, however her family are still convinced that she is alive.

Bradley disappeared in 1998 at just 23 years of age whilst on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

The case of her disappearance has seen renewed interest in the last week due to the release of a Netflix documentary titled AMY BRADLEY IS MISSING.

Whilst many claim that it is clear she simply fell off the ship whilst drunk, the more you look into the circumstances around her disappearance the more that the possibility she is still alive leaps out.

A body was never found and there have been several reported sightings that contribute to the theories that she is still alive.

This is the view of the directors of the Netflix documentary, both of whom have stated that after numerous interviews with experts and witnesses they believe she is alive.

For those doubters amongst you however, here are all the signs that she could still be alive 27 years on from her disappearance.

One of the most commonly held theories surrounds the idea that she was either kidnapped or trafficked off of the boat.

This is backed up by several sightings of women who match her description.

The cruise ship was travelling from Aruba to Curaçao at the time of her disappearance, with the ship making port in Curaçao just hours later.

Over the years several people have reported sightings of Bradley, including a US Navy Sailor who anonymously revealed that he had met a sex worker whilst on the island who matched her description.

The sailor did not report it for several years for fear of reprimand for visiting a brothel, however claims that she told him her ‘name is Amy and [she] needs help’.

Another high profile sighting saw someone speaking to a woman in a department store in Barbados who said her name was Amy.

The person who made the sighting claims that, after telling her she was from Virginia, three men came in and bundled her away.

A woman who matched Amy’s description was found on a sex worker’s website in a sighting that caused a renewed interest in the case in 2005 and saw her family appear on the Dr Phil show.

Forensic analysis by the FBI found that it was very likely that the woman in question could have been Amy, with a side by side picture showing how similar they look.

Though she was declared dead by abstentia in 2010 the FBI still maintains a missing person page for her, including simulations which show what she may look like now as she would be 50 if still alive.

Erin Sheridan, an FBI agent who worked on the investigation into her disappearance, said of the picture of a woman on a sex worker’s website: “A forensic analyst looked at the photo and believed that that was Amy Bradley.”

Speaking in the Netflix documentary, Amy’s mother Iva said: “Seeing the photos that’s a terrible thing… it’s a level of panic, all I can think is ‘is that my daughter?’”

The family maintain a website for Amy in which they allow forums to discuss theories, send in tips, and will themselves post photos and updates.

This includes posting pictures of the family now on major events such as Amy’s birthday, with the most recently pinned post being a poem her family wrote for her birthday last year.

Her family however noticed a particularly odd detail, that someone was spending an extended amount of time on the site on specific days.

This included the birthdays of members of the family and various holidays, with family tracking the IP to somewhere in Barbados.

According to family this is just the latest in a string of signs that point to her still being alive.

AMY BRADLEY IS MISSING is available to watch on Netflix now.
