"Nicole Kidman's Shocking Confession: Unsurfaced Orgasms That Turned Scripted Scenes into Steamy Surprises!"

After what feels like months of anticipation and all kinds of buzz, Babygirl is finally making its big-screen debut—well, in the US at least, while our friends across the pond in the UK will have to hold tight until January 10 for their screening. And let’s be real, if the chatter leading up to its release is any indication, it’s not just your average rom-com we’re discussing here. The film stars Nicole Kidman as a high-powered CEO embarking on a scandalous affair with a younger intern, and the sheer audacity of that choice alone had tongues wagging before the credits rolled. Kidman herself has admitted to some rather steamy revelations about her experience during filming—so much so, she had to pause due to, ahem, “too many orgasms.” If that doesn’t leave you curious, what will? The layers of intrigue surrounding Babygirl transcend mere titillation, as it poses fascinating questions about power dynamics, sexuality, and self-discovery in the midst of modern relationships. After a whole load of chat these past few months, Babygirl is finally in cinemas.

Well, in the US anyway, as the UK has to wait until 10 January with some preview screenings being shown.

Before it was even released, the film has caused quite a stir thanks to its highly steamy nature and admissions from its star.

Nicole Kidman leads the flick as a high-powered CEO who risks her career and family ‘when she begins a torrid affair’ with the company’s new, and much younger, intern (Harris Dickinson).

The 57-year-old had opened up about how she had to pause filming because she was having ‘too many orgasms’. And in a conversation with Zendaya, she revealed some of those intimate scenes were unscripted.

For Variety’s Actors on Actors, the pair of stars chatted about Babygirl as Kidman was asked: “How much was rehearsed and how much was you guys just finding it?”

The Aussie star said it was ‘both’ as she went on to explain how there would be ‘very structured’ moments, but at other points she and Dickinson wouldn’t always know how something ‘was gonna happen’.

‘It would change every time’ when they filmed some parts as Kidman confessed to loving the ‘spontaneity’.

“I think listening is probably the most important part of acting,” she added. “You can come in with this plan but the plan is not gong help you really.”

The star went on to say ‘listening and responding’ is likely the ‘best way to get something special’.

While Babygirl isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kidman in intimate scenes, it certainly does seem to be taking it to a new level in creating her most erotic role to date.

Even the opening scenes sees her having an orgasm while with her husband Jacob (Antonio Banderas).

Kidman describes the film as ‘very releasing’ as she addressed the response from viewers.

“I hope it is,” she added to The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve had some people say it’s the most disturbing film they’ve ever seen, which I’m like, ‘Oh no, I’m so sorry.’”

But the star thinks it gives an important light on a more overlooked point as she explained: “A lot of times women are discarded at a certain period of their career as a sexual being. So it was really beautiful to be seen in this way.”

Kidman went on to describe: “My character has reached a stage where she’s got all this power, but she’s not sure who she is, what she wants, what she desires, even though she seems to have it all. And I think that’s really relatable.”

Babygirl releases in cinemas on 10 January in the UK.
