“One Boy’s Obsession with a Single Trap Exercise: Unbelievable Transformation You Have to See to Believe!”
In the ever-wild and wonderfully weird world of social media, where everyone seems to be showcasing their polished gym transformations, one teenager has decided to flip the script—literally. Meet the young virality seeker known as “The Crooked Man,” who has taken a most unconventional approach to fitness: he’s spent months training only one side of his trapezius muscle in what can only be described as a quest for ‘looks minimising.’ Now, before you scribble this off as just another mindless trend, ask yourself—what if purposely achieving an off-balance physique is somehow the rebellious twist our body-obsessed culture needs? While onlookers scratch their heads, wondering why anyone would choose to asymmetrically train, his journey raises questions about aesthetics and authenticity in a world that often demands conformity. Intrigued? Buckle up, because this tale of dedication and divergence will not only have you chuckling but also pondering the very essence of beauty! LEARN MORE.
A lad has gone viral after spending months training only one side of his trap muscle in a bizarre attempt at ‘looks minimising’.
Spend long enough scrolling through any social media app and you’ll be inundated with pictures and videos of people sharing their gym transformations.
The posts will always follow a similar formula, with the ‘before’ photo being a poorly lit or low quality selfie chosen to maximise the contrast with the fully tensed and perfectly posed ‘after’ image.
Yeah we get it guys, you’re putting in the hours to overhaul your body, which is impressive but boring to watch.
What would be more interesting to see would be someone ripping up the rulebook entirely and going hellbent on just training one muscle — which is exactly what content creator The Crooked Man is doing.
Check out his work below:
The 19-year-old has built up a pretty sizeable following over the past couple of months by simply sharing videos of himself working out only one side of his traps (or trapezius muscle if you’re feeling formal).
And you have to respect the dedication from the content creator, as there is a noticeable difference between the two sides of his body.
Which means that he must’ve been doing a hell of a lot of barbell shrugs to achieve such a stark difference.
However, not everyone is onboard with the extreme transformation.
“Why tho.” one person commented under a video showing his progress.

The before… (Instagram/@thecrookedman10)
“Bros one of those half n half pizzas, one side Supreme and the other Margharita [sic],” a second person wrote, while a third penned: “Thank you for the experiment. Now go work on the other side.”
But the question remains: why is the teenager putting his body through such an extreme transformation?
To simply go viral — or is it for something else?
Well if the creator’s videos are anything to go by, the one sided tap workouts are part of a greater quest for ‘looks minimising’.
You’re probably aware of the recent trend ‘looksmaxxing’ which sees content creators share tips on how to improve your attractiveness.

…and the after (Instagram/@thecrookedman10)
The phrase is said to have originated on incel message boards before later spreading to mainstream platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
‘Looks minimising’ is essentially the polar opposite of the above. Why put yourself through the ringer in attempt to look more conventionally attractive when you can have fun doing the complete opposite?
“There’s no way somebody hasn’t edited the first looks minimiser video yet,” he joked in a recent clip. “Come on guys, I’m ruining my life for you.”
And with that my friends, we have reached a whole new level of the internet.
