Passenger’s Unbelievable In-Flight Food Demand Sparks Outrage and Viral Storm Online
Ever notice how every flight seems to have that one passenger who treats the cabin crew like their personal concierge—and their demands? Like, “Could you shuffle this entire family so I can snag the window seat?” or “Can you whip up this fancy meal that seems impossible to get on a plane?” Yeah, we’ve all been there, smirking behind our tray tables while rolling our eyes. But this time, a flight attendant spilled the tea on Reddit with a list of requests so wild, you’ll wonder if the flight should’ve been renamed “The Crystal Palace Express.” No coffee, no cashews, no fragrances… oh, and no gasoline or airplane fuel? Wait, what?! It’s the kind of note that has folks asking—how does anyone fly when the plane can’t even fuel up? Stick around to unravel the absurdity and chuckle at the bewildered reactions this passenger’s manifesto stirred. <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/flightattendants/comments/1ks49y0/timetotakethebus/”>LEARN MORE
Every time you grab a flight, there’s always that one annoying passenger who makes unreasonable demands.
Can you move this entire family so I can have a window seat? Can you serve me this obscene food which you wouldn’t expect to get on a plane?
You’ve likely come across them before – after all, that’s what Reddit is for.
Speaking of Reddit, a flight attendant took to the social media platform to show the internet the list of demands a passenger on one of their flights gave them.
And let’s just say it’s very extensive.
The request list was shared on the r/flightattendants subreddit, with the poster writing in the caption: “Time to take the bus.”

The letter, which was seemingly handed to the Redditor on the flight, made requests for staff to accommodate the following needs:
- No coffee (highly allergic even to smell)
- No cashews
- No fragrances or chemical smells
- No gasoline or airplane fuel
They also mention later on that they are on ‘several medications, ‘ which means they have to neck a lot of water. The note continues: “If you could spare a large bottle of water from the onset of the flight, that would be greatly appreciated, this way I don’t have to constantly ask you for more water.”
OK, let’s start with the easy one. Cashews are a common allergen, so it’s fair enough to make the airline staff aware. As for coffee, that’s also a fair request if they indeed have an allergy.
Right now that’s out of the way, let’s address the elephant in the room. Now, I’m not a mechanic or a scientist; however, based on my limited knowledge of how planes work, I do believe that fuel might be required to, you know, fly.
The next request was no fragrances or chemical smells.
Again, I’m not sure how this would have been enforced, but I assume the passenger was hoping the airline would employ someone to sniff every person who boarded and eject them from the plane should they smell anything other than natural body odour.
However, the passenger concludes their note by thanking the staff for their ‘patience and understanding in trying to make the flight as enjoyable as possible for me’, adding: “I appreciate you.”
You have to give them points for that. But their list left commenters a bit dumbfounded.
One person joked: “Sorry PAX we had to dump all the fuel [because] seat 4a is allergic.,” while another replied with: “Attention passengers, we do not serve coffee on today’s flight due to a highly allergic passenger.
“If you also wear perfume please kindly approach the nearest cabin crew so we can assist you with disembarking. We also will not fill up today’s flight with jet fuel. Thank you for your understanding.”
Others wondered how they travelled normally, as someone else said: “I’m wondering if maybe this is their first time flying in awhile? Or maybe ever.”
A fifth commented: “Wonder how they handled this and also how this person regularly travels.”
