And in something you’d think was a Bart Simpson prank, people ‘can’t believe’ how Greg James got away with an ‘X-rated’ comment live on Radio 1.

The BBC breakfast show presenter was hosting his show on Thursday (23 January) when he launched into a chat that could sound pretty inappropriate out of context.

But it seems James wasn’t going to miss out on the opportunity to give listeners a bit of a laugh as he later poked further fun out of it on Instagram.

Following the 8:30am news update, he chatted to presenter Calum Leslie after the headline of Celtic reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League.

It marks a historical moment for the side after beating Young Boys on Wednesday night (22 January) and the Scottish newsreader described it as a ‘massive moment’.

The pair then went on to discuss how the match had taken place at Celtic Park.

Prompting James to clarify that Young Boys’ stadium in Switzerland is ‘the Wankdorf Stadium’.

They seemed to be keeping their voices as steady and serious as possible as the breakfast show host began to tee things up: “Have you been to Celtic Park?”

“Yeah, a few times,” Leslie responded.

Giving the kicker, James could then ask: “Have you been Wankdorf?”

And of course, listening to this on the radio – especially out of context – can lead you to think the pair are discussing something very different to football.

Leslie played along pretty well too, replying: “I haven’t no, not yet.”

James is of course a pro at this type of thing and wasn’t letting it go as he continued: “Because I’ve been Emirates ‘cos Arsenal and I’ve actually been Old Trafford.

“But I’ve never been Wankdorf. It’s sad actually, because I’ve heard it’s lovely.”

The newsreader then described Wankdorf as ‘definitely one to put on the list’ with James saying he’d ‘love to’.
