Vicky Pattison has branded the United Arab Emirates as ‘one of the safest countries in the world’ while being trapped in Dubai during its third day of missile strikes.
The TV personality took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal she and husband Ercan Ramadan had been evacuated to her hotel’s five star underground car park as a ‘precautionary measure,’ after Iran began missile strikes against the UAE over its support of Israel and the United States.
In a lengthy statement, the 38-year-old, who is currently on holiday in Dubai, described the reporting of airstrikes as ‘hyperbolic,’ adding that she had been staying away from social media ‘due to a growing amount of misinformation that feels really counterproductive to staying calm.’
“I understand this is a really uncertain situation and everyone deals with it in different ways but we’re trying to stay hopeful and measured, and this feels like the best way for us to do that,” Vicky told her 5.5 million followers.

“I am not an expert on geopolitical matters or international affairs, what I can say is that the narrative that Dubai is being ‘bombed’ feels like a hyperbolic one.”
Vicky went on to reiterate the information that has been given to them by the UAE government, which says they have been successfully intercepting missiles, which has caused falling debris.
“We are adhering to all advice from our hotel and the proper official resources and remaining safe and are hoping to come home soon,” she said.
“We were swiftly and safely evacuated to our hotel’s underground parking structure two nights ago, but that felt more precautionary than anything else.”

Vicky went on to describe the UAE as ‘one of the safest countries in the world,’ adding that while currently in the comfort of a five star hotel, she doesn’t want to ‘add to the rising panic and chaos by stating anything other than rational fact or at the very least what we have been advised is true.’
The former Queen of the Jungle, added: “And we’re being incredibly mindful of our privilege in this situation. There are many people in the world right now in far more dangerous and heartbreaking circumstances.
“Our thoughts and prayers, as yours should be, are with anyone feeling unsettled and unsafe as the world sadly becomes an increasingly fractious and hostile one.”
The Iranian strikes come as leaders rejected requests from Donald Trump to put an end to the violence, leaving thousands of holidaymakers trapped as flights in and out of the AUE are cancelled.
