Picture this: the 31-year-old father shot during a speaking event, and just days later, an unexpected moment of levity (or awkwardness?) unfolds with Trump Jr. mimicking the president’s cantankerous social media rants right in front of the man himself, who couldn’t help but crack a smile and give a thumbs up. Now, if you’re wondering how a solemn day turns into a family comedy roast amidst grief, and what the late Turning Point USA founder’s final chats with Trump reveal about their bond, you’re in for quite the tale. Sometimes life’s darkest moments come wrapped with a bizarre sense of humor, don’t they? LEARN MORE

Donald Trump was brutally mocked by his own son at Charlie Kirk’s funeral as thousands gathered in Arizona to celebrate the life of the political activist.

The 31-year-old father was fatally shot on 10 September during a speaking event at Utah Valley University and his death was confirmed by the president just a few hours after.

A wide range of politicians spoke at Kirk’s funeral on Sunday 21 September including Donald Trump Jr and his impersonation of the president was particularly baffling.

“You know, Don, you’re getting a little aggressive on social media. Don, relax!” Trump Jr. said to the crowd in the president’s distinctive voice.

The camera then panned to the POTUS who could be seen laughing before giving his son a thumbs up for the gaff.

Trump has also revealed one of the last times he spoke to Kirk before he was tragically murdered, with the Turning Point USA founder a key player in helping the 79-year-old return to the Oval Office.

“So the last time I spoke to him, he said ‘Sir,’ then he goes ‘Phoenix,'” Trump said.

“‘Sir could you, er, get to Phoenix,’ this was like in a day. I said, ‘Charlie, I’m the President of the United States, you’ve called me, asking me if I could speak tomorrow in Phoenix? You can’t do that to me, Charlie.’

“But I usually ended up going,” Trump recalled with a laugh. “He was great. He was a great guy and he didn’t deserve this. He didn’t deserve this, believe me.”
