Viewers of the Amy Bradley Netflix documentary have made a major discovery after digging into the archives surrounding her disappearance.
The documentary, titled Amy Bradley is Missing, has brought the case of her Royal Caribbean cruise disappearance to a whole new generation of true crime fans.
Disappearing in 1998, Amy Bradley went missing on March 24, 1998, when she was just 23. 12 years later, on March 24, 2010, she was declared legally dead by abstentia.
The Netflix documentary has been incredibly popular amongst viewers, leading the investigation to return to the public eye.
One fan on Reddit, however, made a major discovery, posting on the r/NetflixDocumentaries subreddit.
They said: “Just came across this article from days after Amy Bradley went missing and there are some interesting things that were left out of the documentary.”
The poster shared that they had been searching ‘newspaper.com’, an archive of old newspaper clippings, to look at what the articles immediately covering Amy’s disappearance had said.
Per the Netflix documentary, Amy’s father, Ron Bradley, had last seen her in her room at 5.30am, roughly half an hour prior to the discovery at 6am of her missing from her room.
In the newly shared newspaper article, however, it states he had last seen her at 4.30am.
In addition to this, the article states that he had gotten dressed at 3am upon discovering that Amy and her brother Brad were still out drinking at a disco, bringing them back to their room.
This detail was not shared in the documentary.
