A pastor has made the extraordinary claim that we’re just weeks away from seeing the end of the world unfold.

It’s pretty safe to say that 2025 has been a pretty turbulent year for us.

From numerous conflicts unfolding across the globe to world leaders showing off their most deadly weapons and constant WW3 warnings, it’s no surprise that doomsday predictors are having a field day when it comes to discussions about the end of the world.

We’ve had predictions from mystics such as the Living Nostradamus, AKA Athos Salomé, claims beyond the grave from Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga and even a Ghanian TikToker building his own Noah’s Ark in anticipation of a major flood.

And now the Bible appears to have thrown its two cents in, as a South African pastor claims Jesus will be making a comeback in a mere matter of weeks.

In a YouTube video posted earlier this year – which has since been viewed half a million times – Pastor Joshua Mhlakela claimed that Jesus had recently appeared in a vision to reveal that doomsday would be upon us very soon.

“The rapture is upon us, whether you are ready or not,” he explained in the interview.

“I saw Jesus sitting on his throne, and I could hear him very loud and clear saying, I am coming soon.

“He said to me on the 23rd and 24th of September 2025, ‘I will come back to the Earth’.”

Which means if Mhlakela’s predictions are correct, we’ve got about two more weeks before the planet is once again thrust into unprecedented times.

According to Christian tradition, the rapture will see all Christians, living or dead, transported to heaven ahead of the second coming of Jesus, following a trumpet call from God.

Meanwhile, those left behind on Earth will face a period of suffering, followed by the second coming of Christ and ultimately the end of the world.

23 September will also align with the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah, also known as the Feast of the Trumpets, which has also been taken as a sign by rapture-watchers.

Mhlakela isn’t the only religious figure throwing his weight behind the idea of end times being a mere two weeks away, with Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn agreeing with the speculation about 23 September being end times.

Cahn – a member of a religious sect which combines aspects of Judaism with belief in Jesus – stated in a recent YouTube video that he believes the rapture will align with the feast of the trumpets.

“Do I believe that there may be these major [events] like the rapture or the coming of the Lord linked to the trumpets,” he claimed.

“Yes. Because that all goes together with everything that was, and it makes sense. It’s in line. It’s consistent.”

However, not everyone agrees with the prediction, noting how the Bible says there will be no advance warning about the return of Christ.

Either way, we only have two weeks to wait.
