Blake Lively’s former best pal, Taylor Swift, has reportedly agreed to be deposed as part of her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

The It Ends With Us co-stars have been locked in a fiery feud since late last year, after both actors filed legal complaints against one another.

Lively claimed she had been subjected to sexual harassment and alleged a campaign of ‘social manipulation’ had been waged against her, alongside various other accusations.

Baldoni, meanwhile, filed a countersuit against the Gossip Girl actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for a whopping $400 million in damages, which a judge later dismissed.

Both actors’ legal teams have denied the accusations presented against both Lively and Baldoni.

Swift was dragged into the messy fallout after she was somewhat name-dropped in Baldoni’s suit, which alleged Lively had tried to influence him to rewrite a scene by ambushing him with a ‘mega celebrity friend’.

The Jane the Virgin actor’s legal team then made the decision to subpoena the pop star in May this year, which Swift’s representative described as a move to ‘draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait’.

The singer’s camp insisted she had ‘no connection to the production of It Ends With Us’ aside from allowing her song, ‘My Tears Ricochet’, for the soundtrack. The subpoena was later withdrawn.

Focus inevitably fell on Lively’s close relationship with Swift; however, the stars have since appeared to have distanced themselves from one another despite being good pals for about a decade.

The spotlight is now back on the fraught friendship after reports emerged claiming Swift has agreed to be questioned by Baldoni’s legal team.

The ‘Bad Blood’ singer is set to be deposed sometime between 20 October and 25 October, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.

The documents are said to state that Swift ‘agreed to appear’ for a sit-down with Baldoni’s legal team, but is ‘unable to do so before 20 October’ due to ‘preexisting professional obligations’.

Reports suggest Swift, who announced her engagement to Travis Kelce last month, will be quizzed about correspondence she had with Lively during the filming of It Ends With Us.

Lively and Baldoni are set to face off in court in March next year.

LADbible Group has approached the representatives of Lively, Swift, and Baldoni for comment.

Swift – the godmother of one of Lively’s children – is believed to be too busy for the deposition until late October due to her upcoming album release.

The 35-year-old is set to drop The Life of a Showgirl on 3 October and is expected to be occupied with promoting it throughout the beginning of next month.
