Bo Phut Police was informed of the incident at 1.30pm as one man reportedly went in to try and save her.

Her body was found a few days after she was swept into the ocean, around two-thirds of a mile from the spot where she had been doing yoga.
Chaiyaporn Subprasert, head of the Samui Rescue Center, has since warned of ‘high risk’ areas surrounding the local beaches.
“During monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists, especially at high-risk areas like Chaweng and Lamai beaches, where red flags indicate no swimming,” he told the Khaosad English.
“While the incident location isn’t a swimming area but rather a viewpoint for scenery, the victim may have been caught off guard by the unexpected wave surge.”
Prior to her death, Kamilla described the holiday destination as ‘the best place on earth’.

“I love Samui so much,” she wrote online. “But this place, this rocky beach is the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
“Thank you, universe, for me being here right now.
“I’m very happy. I’m happy!”
One viewer who saw the footage on social media tweeted: “That’s terrifying. Condolences to her family.”
“Wow I’ve never seen waves like that in Thailand,” a second penned. “Unfortunate that this had to happen.”
“Such a heartbreaking tragedy. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones,” a third added.
“Stay safe, everyone, especially during monsoon season.”
“The ocean shows no mercy. One moment you’re living your best life and then the next moment, you’re gone,” someone else said.
Following the tragic incident, Samui City Municipality has closed access to the rocky area below the viewpoint, according to the Khaosad English.
