The Oasis reunion is creeping ever closer as the Gallagher brothers announce more dates across the world with North America and Australia legs added to the 2025 tour.

Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed in August they were reuniting with simultaneous posts made on their social media channels, with images of the two together released to the public from a very secret photoshoot in the summer.

Initially announcing UK and Ireland tour dates, the tickets sold out with more dates added on a number of occasions – although the selling process was not without its fair share of controversy.

Since then, the Mancunian superstars have confirmed more gigs across the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. Even more are rumoured to be on the way, with Oasis having a huge following in Asia.

Those lucky enough to have secured tickets have spent the time since securing a spot in the reunion tour audience wondering who might support Oasis on the tour.

Given the cost of the tickets, expectations are high that it will be established names warming the crowd up for Liam and Noel when the Live ’25 Tour finally arrives.

One huge rock ‘n’ roll star has seemingly been confirmed to be supporting Oasis on its UK and Ireland tour dates, with The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft reported to be the man on stage before the band.

Ashcroft is a long term friend of the Gallagher brothers and has previously opened up for Liam during the latter’s solo career, including at Old Trafford cricket ground, while The Verve opened for Oasis during the incredible run in the 1990s.

The Verve were also one of the biggest musical influences in the 1990s that came to define ‘Cool Britannia’, with the band hailing from Wigan and forming part of the iconic Britpop scene alongside Oasis.

Fellow Britpop rockers Cast, from Liverpool, have also seemingly been confirmed for the UK dates. Noel previously described compared watching Cast perform live to a ‘religious experience’.

Another band expected to take to the stage on the Oasis reunion tour is indie band Blossoms.

The Stockport band teased the Oasis reunion announcement at the end of their concert two days before it was revealed they had reunited.

Playing to a huge crowd at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park, they also covered Oasis’ huge tune ‘Half The World Away’. Given they were clearly given the inside information on the reunion beforehand, it’d be a shock to see them not team up for the Manchester dates, at the very least.

They’re also Manchester City fans, which is very in keeping with the Gallagher brothers’ personal brands.

Speaking about the potential slot last month, leader singer Tom Ogden said nothing had been confirmed yet with ‘no conservation’ taking place, adding: “I think they’ll probably sort it out next year.”

Oasis fans are also hoping that the likes of Shed Seven or The Charlatans might turn up on the tour. Given Ashcroft’s presence, the Britpop revival is clearly something that is on the cards. Nothing has been said about either band at this stage, however.

But Liam himself has tweeted to say Manic Street Preachers could be making an appearance, with the most likely slots being the Cardiff dates given the Welsh rockers’ heritage.

“Richard Ashcroft or Manic Street Preachers as support,” Liam posted on X.

With Ashcroft seems all but confirmed, could the Manics be next? They did support Oasis at their iconic Maine Road gigs in 1996.

The legendary Knebworth concerts, also in 1996, saw The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers join the bill over two epic nights. Given Cast, who also played the two dates, have already been confirmed, fans are eager for them to complete the nostalgia throwback.

In recent years, Kasabian and DMA have both supported Liam and Noel on their solo projects, meaning they know the drill when it comes to working with the Gallaghers.

Over in North America, Cage The Elephant have already been confirmed by Oasis to be opening for them, with fans taking to social media to say they are ‘unbelievably psyched for this’.

LADbible has contacted Oasis’ representatives for comment on the tour support acts.
