Suspicious-looking ‘UFOs’ have apparently been spotted hovering around a US power plant, prompting the sheriff to speak out.
Apparently, strange extraterrestrial objects in the shape of flying saucers have been seen congregating in the skies over Sweetwater County’s Red Desert, Wyoming, and the Jim Bridger Power Plant.
Residents say the issue has persisted for 13 months with lighted UFO-like objects appearing in coordinated formations over the area.
Now, the sheriff’s office has weighed in on the matter, as Sheriff John Grossnickle claims to have seen the objects with his own eyes as recently as Saturday night, according to Cowboy State Daily.
His spokesman Jason Mower told the outlet that the objects are too high to shoot out of the sky from ground level.
“We’ve worked with everybody,” he said. “We’ve done everything we can to figure out what they are, and nobody wants to give us any answers.”

He added the sheriff even took Wyoming US House Rep Harriet Hageman out on a field trip to see the mysterious objects, and claimed that she saw them.
Mower continued to explain how the issue is so persistent and tackling it proving so difficult that people have stopped reporting it to the sheriff’s office.
In parts, he called them ‘drones’ as well as ‘unidentified flying objects’, clarifying that while they appear miles away from Earth, they move in a similar way to drones, but remain a mystery.
He said: “It’s like the new normal.
“It’s like this phenomenon that continues to happen, but it’s not causing any, you know, issues that we have to deal with — other than the presence of them,” he continued, adding that they haven’t done any harm.
However, should the ‘drones’ pose a threat or cause any harm or damage, Mower said to ‘rest assured’ as the sheriff’s office will ‘certainly act accordingly’.
The sheriff’s office isn’t the only one to have raised the matter, with Niobrara County Sheriff Randy Starkey claiming his community has also been puzzled over what appears to be drones flying over Lance Creek last year.

However, Starkey claims the flying objects appeared between October through to March, after which they have disappeared.
He told the outlet that now he’s ‘just glad they’re gone’ though his questions remain unanswered.
State Senate Appropriations Chair Tim Salazar, R-Riverton also asked the leader of the Wyoming National Guard about ‘UAPs’, the new government codename for UFO, or unidentified anomalous phenomena, during a discussion about its non-existent drone-combat budget.
Wyoming Adjutant General Greg Porter replied stating he didn’t think he was able to discuss that publicly, the outlet reports.
