While some fans voiced their disappointment—”So there ain’t no fight?”—others can’t wait for a deeper look into the lives of these polarizing figures. Who knew the Paul brothers could turn a social media stunt into a reality show? Now, with whispers of a possible clash with Conor McGregor floating around, one has to wonder: will Paul American lead us to the boxing match we never knew we needed? LEARN MORE

Earlier this week, Jake and Logan Paul suggested on social media they would be going head-to-head on 27 March.

Fans weren’t convinced by the theatrics and it looks like they had every right to be suspicious – as the brothers revealed via an Instagram live that a new reality show Paul American is on the way.

Jake has since shared a trailer for the series on his Instagram, which promises plenty of drama as well as behind-the-scenes moments from their fights.

Watch below:

Despite the fact that pretty much all of us knew the brothers wouldn’t be stepping into the ring any time soon, although they didn’t rule the idea out for good, fans were still split in their opinion over the announcement.

“L announcement,” one disappointed viewer commented under the trailer on Instagram, while another added: “So there ain’t no fight.”

However not everyone was unhappy by the idea of more access to the Paul brothers and their families, with plenty of other fans sharing their excitement.

“Iconic !!!! Paul American… let’s go,” read one comment.

“AYOOOO PAULL AMERICANNN,” a second user penned.

“Absolute goated marketing,” a third added.

As for who the next opponents of the brothers will be, it’s most likely that we won’t find out until the TV series airs.

However there is one name which has been doing the rounds as a potential opponent for one of the brothers. Conor McGregor.

McGregor was previously in talks to face WWE superstar Logan in a bout worth $250 million each in India, however the Irish MMA star appeared to suggest that the UFC and WWE weren’t too fond of the idea during a recent interview.

“It is what it is,” McGregor told The Schmo (via TalkSport). “It was business savvy, and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say to make the glorified spar happen.”

He added: “In between this waiting period that we find ourselves in before I can get back to the octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it.

“The UFC weren’t into it. I’m not sure what WWE’s interest in it was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”

Paul American will stream on Max from 27 March.
