According to an affidavit by FBI agent Sarah Corcoran and court records cited by the Associated Press, Chicago rapper Lil Durk allegedly attempted to flee to Italy before his recent arrest. The affidavit describes that after five alleged members of his Only the Family (OTF) crew were detained in Chicago, Lil Durk reportedly booked two flights from South Florida—one to Switzerland and another to Dubai—as well as a private flight to Italy, apparently in an attempt to evade arrest.
Federal agents intercepted Lil Durk before he could board the Italy-bound flight. While the motivations behind his travel plans to Switzerland and Dubai are unclear, U.S. Marshals apprehended him in Florida on Friday, October 25. He now faces conspiracy charges for allegedly organizing an attack on fellow rapper Quando Rondo, reportedly in retaliation for the 2020 killing of Durk’s friend, King Von.
