There’s nothing worse than a rogue photobomber ruining what would have been a perfect picture.
But when the image intruder is one of the most famous people in the world, it’s more of a delight than a disappointment.
Just ask these parents who splashed out on a photoshoot for their two young children – only for Barack Obama to upstage their little ones by walking in the background.
And even though he wasn’t even purposely striking a pose for the shot, the former president managed to look effortlessly cool as he unknowingly interrupted the family shoot.
Mum Portia Moore explained that she had taken her children, Preston and Belle, to the Washington DC Tidal Basin to take some cute snaps with photographer Briana Inell.
While the mini models smiled under a cherry blossom tree at the man-made reservoir, Obama coincidentally strolled behind them at the perfect time.
The Democrat and father-of-two, 63, was seen sporting a baseball cap, smart trousers and a white shirt while accompanied by a man who appeared to be his bodyguard.
Hilariously, Portia admitted she didn’t even notice the politician trotting by at the time, as she was too busy keeping an eye on her offspring.

“Of course, I’m paying attention to my son, making sure he doesn’t run into the water,” the entrepreneur and mother-of-two told NBC Washington. “He’s 20 months old.”
However, her husband Damien did manage to notice that there was a famous face gatecrashing their photoshoot.
Portia continued: “My husband’s like, ‘That’s Obama!’ I didn’t know what he was saying. I was like, ‘Yeah, whatever. I’m looking at Preston right now’.”
Discussing what happened when she finally realised her spouse wasn’t pulling her leg, the mums said: “I was like, ‘Well, did we get a picture?!’
“We went to the photographer and she scrolled back and were like, ‘We got it!'”
Money shot secured, the mum rushed to share the news with her family and friends while making an Instagram post detailing their unbelievable encounter.
“The perfect shot,” Portia wrote in the caption. “This story is one to remember and the picture is a family heirloom (literally). And nope, we did not bother him on his much needed peaceful stroll.
“We were featured on the news today. Such an epic core memory formed for our entire family.”

Little did she know, Obama was about to give the family something else to remember too – as he reshared the adorable image and accompanied it with an apology.
Posting the image to his Instagram story on his account which boasts a whopping 36.6million followers, the 44th President of the US wrote: “Preston and Belle, I hope you enjoyed peak bloom! My bad for stepping into the shot.”
Before getting wind of the fact that he’d disturbed the family photoshoot, Obama had shared some images of the stunning cherry blossom trees from the same spot to his social media page.
He captioned the post: “It’s fun to be able to play tourist once in a while. The cherry blossoms were beautiful this morning!”
Portia says the incredible snap will ‘one hundred percent’ be going on the family Christmas cards in December – while she called on Obama to make a similar appearance next year too.
“Come for next year’s shoot,” she said in a message to the ex-President. “Same place, same time, same date. We’ll be here.”
As always, social media users have been quick on their feet – and they are now dubbing the former commander-in-chief ‘photObama’.

The photographer who took the incredible shot explained that she’s ‘used to a bunch of tourist walking in on photos’, but an ex-president is a first.
In an Instagram post detailing her experience, Briana Inell said: “This is why you get to the tidal basin at sunrise on a weekday! You never know who you’re going to see!
“So as somebody who shoots at the tidal basin every year, I’m used to a bunch of tourist walking in on my photos, and usually I just tell my clients not to worry about them because I can always just photoshop them out!
“I wasn’t paying attention since we all know how heard it is to photograph little ones sometimes! But when my clients’ grandparents first saw all the secret service police walking behind him, and then we asked them ‘Um…was that Obama who walked by???’ And they said yeah it was!
“So then I went through the photos on my camera card to see if I caught and to my surprise, I DID! And then me and my clients’ were like, how do we even continue our shoot now?!??
“I already can’t wait for next years’s cherry blossom season!”
Maybe Trump will turn up to the next family photoshoot at the Tidal Basin, eh?
